Springfield Veterinary Center

We took our dog, Biscuit, in to get neutered by Dr. Melkun and the Springfield Veterinary Center team. He had a small complication due to him just being a complicated little guy (as most dachshunds are) which Dr. Melkun monitored for multiple days post op, even coming in on her day off when we suspected he wasn’t responding to the original treatment. It is rare to find a doctor that openly listens to your concerns and gut feelings without judgement, but not here. She treated Biscuit as if he were her own dog, loving on him and providing us the support we needed to stay calm and focused on his recovery. There will always be risks when it comes to our animals being treated, especially with surgery, but I can confidently say that Dr. Melkun, Drs. Wiseman and their team will put our pets first and truly do care about their wellbeing and ours as pet parents. Dr. Melkun was a blessing and a true guardian angel for Biscuit. They have patients for life in our two dachshunds and our future pets, and we cannot recommend them enough.

All 5 of our pets go here, and although we see a different doc almost every time, we haven't had a single negative experience here. Great service, and we appreciate you all!

Dr. Cynthia is the best vet my dog has ever been to. The care we received from Springfield Veterinary Center was outstanding. She was so kind and patient with our anxious dog who needs a lot of time to warm up to people. She gave him treats, got on the floor with him, and even went outside with him for a bit. You can tell she loves dogs and wants the best for your pet. I highly recommend this veterinary center.

When my cat needs comfort from an illness this is the place I go. The staff and Heath Wiseman, DVM are excellent. They performed the necessary test to confirm she was sick from diabetes. They have started her on insulin and a proper low carb diet. I highly recommend this place for your love ones.

By far, the best vet I've been to! From the moment I called with our emergency, to the moment I walked out, we were 100% taken care of! My dog swallowed a barbed fishing hook and they had to perform an endoscopy. I was so worried, but everyone there was so kind, compassion and reassuring. It made a world of a difference! They were even getting ready to leave and still chose to help us! Highly recommend Dr. Heath and this veterinary center!!! So grateful for their careful, skillful work in saving my dog!
