(from Google)Absolutely love this veterinary clinic. My cat had a lump that came up suddenly on her stomach. They were able to get her 1st visit done that same day, and also got her surgery scheduled. They took the time to explain everything and also gave me options on a treatment plan for her. If you are looking for a veterinarian that you can trust, one that will be loving, patient, and gentle, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BRINGING YOUR PET HERE.
Dr. Thomas and Dr. Grimes and the entire staff are always very compassionate and kind! They listen and truly care. No matter how many times we've come in they are all amazing. The best vet clinic we've ever been too. We have taken our cats and our rats to them and always received the best care. Eternally grateful for their entire team 🩵.
I should have written this review months ago, but it’s even better several months later. Love Dr. Grimes! We have a large sheepadoodle who was diagnosed (by our previous vet) with incurable chronic ear infection. No treatment worked. So we were stuck having to load up our huge dog and take him to the vet every month or two to have his ears packed. After a few years of this, I had to find a closer vet if I was going to be taking him in so often. Enter Dr Grimes at Thomas. I thought I just needed her to facilitate the same treatment (just closer). She immediately started talking about figuring out the cause and curing. I didn’t really want to go through all that since it was already considered “chronic” and ongoing for years even with veterinary help. We had already tried so many things. But she seemed confident and so I was hopeful (though skeptical) that MAYBE it could actually be cured. The first visit was more expensive than I anticipated with the testing and such, but I figured we had to give it a try if we could actually potentially cure him. She did a treatment while waiting for test results. And even without questions asked allowed us to come in for a second treatment (that she said ahead of time we may need, and that visit was way cheaper, fast, and easy!). I’m thrilled to say it all worked! Apparently “incurable chronic ear infection” was wrong! Our dog’s entire personality changed back to his happy energetic self (he was previously mopey between ear packings because his ears hurt—I didn’t realize what a toll it was taking on his quality of life). We will definitely be back for all our vet needs. Thank you Dr Grimes for your diligence and extra time considering his case 💜 We’re several months out from treatment and no sign of any recurrent ear infection, and he’s enjoying life again!
Thomas Animal Clinic is a small clinic located at the corner of Kidd Road and Stephen F. Austin Drive. It is conveniently located near River Plantation, Crighton Woods, and Crighton Ridge. I have found the service at Thomas Animal Clinic to be very good, very reasonably priced, and most importantly, very reliable, honest and straightforward. We recently had an experience where we took our cat to another clinic because of their extended hours of operation. We spent almost 3 times as much at that other clinic as we later spent at Thomas Animal Clinic. We were told at the other clinic that our cat had been cured. But his symptoms returned within a week. We took him next to Thomas Animal Clinic where, after two hours and $618 worth of diagnostics and lab work, we were told the sad but honest truth that our cat’s medical condition was terminal. Although we could prolong his life (and his suffering) for a while, he would not last long and would never be the feisty, playful cat we had loved. From my experience, I believe that some other veterinary clinics will delay giving you a definitive medical diagnosis for your terminally ill pet while they milk you for as much as they can before they tell you the truth. Thomas Animal Clinic can be counted upon to tell you the honest truth as soon as they know it, even if it’s bad news.
Best animal clinic there is! We took our German Shepherd, Cleo for a few years and that's where we said goodbye to her. All staff was very nice and empathetic. After that, we took our kitty and new dog and everything worked our great. Just make sure you get Dr. Thomas, he is incredible with nervous animals.
