Very very disappointing! It appears to be a beautiful park, very quiet and away from urban noise. BUT, I read many reviews on various sites, and read ‘this is a great place to walk my lab’ or ‘ my dog loves his morning walks here’. This park is VERY VERY anti dog!!! Rude about it. Signs everywhere prohibiting all dogs. the main website is NOT clear. The juatifuxatuon from “park authorities “ is that they have federally protected avion. Thr birds are in cages! I walked my dog in Ocala Forest and A number of animal preserves throughout Florida, no problem with leashed dogs Is my 5 year old beagle really going to endangered rare birds—anymore than the multitude of toddlers at the park playground? This park is a total waste of local and state resources because it is not a public access reserve!! all the money and staffing and care wasted on a closed discriminatory “public nature preserve.” The city should sue and buy out this restrictive waste of land and turn it into a city or state preserve. they allow dogs in Publix, but this place is too pristine—lol

This is a park of the Oldsmar Trail system which runs from Forest Lake Road and meanders north and westward to Mapleleaf Road. The the lake is mostly hidden from view, its presence can be noted by several wood bridges that allow passage of waters from Upper Tampa Bay thru Moccasin Creek to a small lake to the north. The trail is paved roadways and concrete sidewalks. Noth the trail shares its windy paith with walkers, ruinners, dog walkers, two-wheel bikes and more than a few varieties of adult trikes. Note, there are no facilities within this park in this free to access trail. Nor is there parking, except for the neighborhood on its western end. I have heard the presence of birds but don't remember specifically seeing any. I am also unaware of any public transportation within this area.

Small trail through the swampy areas. Pretty and feels much mure remote than it actually is. No traffic noise but also pretty well used, can get crowded at times. Amazing for a nature walk. I often bring a sandwich and have a picnic. No pokestops :(
