The trail seemed to take me in circles. The sand is what got me though. My white lab looked grey be the time we got off the trail.

Really enjoyed the dirt trails, followed some random paths and ended up in the connected preserve. Passed a lot of dog owners. Mixture of some sunny spots and shaded, so recommend coming with sun protection

Meh let the homeless stay~ Nobody else is going to use the pavilion with this view. Has been like this a very long time- forgot I had been here until I saw the "boat launch". The meat and potatoes of this park is a very bumpy, shady parking lot. Maybe clean it up while the drought has water so low??

This park has trails enough for 45 minutes to an hour of brisk hiking. It is surrounded by private land with houses that are on rundown side. One of the properties has a field with pigs in it which was a treat. While walking large dogs could be heard in the distance. Presumably from the neighborhood to the south. The playground, pavilions and lake were quite nice. One of the locals warned me that at times there are certain individuals he has encountered in the park that were aggressive. Nice park just be on guard and have the means to defend yourself I suppose.

This was my first time visiting this park, I came here to ride my bicycle and to tell the truth I don't recommend it because the ground in many places is very sandy and hard to ride, but if you want to go for a walk to workout and then yes, you will find beautiful trees and you might see Turtles, I saw 4 of them. About 🐦 well I heard them but couldn't see them. There is only one pavilion with a picnic table and restrictions but I didn't adventure there because there was a homeless person sleeping there so I didn't want to disturbing him. Also there is a playground and a basketball court. There arw two pounds for fishing. So I give 3 stars.
