(from Google)FRI 2025.07.18, ~05:50, i was the 2nd to arrive at the parking. High 70s_F .. climbing mid_90s_F later today ..🥵 Out i went for a ~5+ mi CW Loop: neighborhood > Lower McAlpine Creek/McMullen Creek Greenway. The Greenways were in good condition, well-maintained and clean. During the ~1+ hr on the Greenways, encountered a total of ~30 people (some Jogging, others Walking) and ~10 dogs (including Stella who's accompanying her Master; they were travelling from FL .. and on their way to Dayton OH 👍 ). Everyone's friendly. The neighborhood looks clean and nice, but for litter along ~0.5 mile stretch of Johnston Rd roadside and open spaces.
Such a beautiful trail! Wide walkways, Shaded by trees, perfect for hot summer mornings.
Very nice trail. I appreciate the restrooms and easy parking. This trail does have a lot of people on it though so just a warning.
This is a special place. I love working out here, long walks, bike rides, picnic tables and benches. Sometimes you'll see squirrels and deer; be careful of the bugs and snakes. There's multiple routes and they all look different depending on the season, you won't regret it!
Walked this nice trail over the weekend. Covered almost 6 miles, from McMullen Creek, past McAlpine Creek, all the way to Four Mile Creek. Took 4 hours to walk back and forth(12miles). Quite many different types of animals and insects along the way. Lots of people using this Greenway on the weekend.
