Love the 4 mile creek trail in Charlotte. This entrance to the trail is great, it has restrooms which other entrances don’t. Currently they are constructing another sub trail which led to the parking lot closed on Monday to Thursday.

Great place for Ballantyne residents to run, walk or bike. Probably not worth a trip if you live more than 20 minutes from here, but it's good spot to start your day. No bathrooms along the trail, so be warned.

This is a great trail with many access points and connections to other trails. Great for walking. Good for biking. As an older trail it's narrower than more recently built trails.

We don't live in the area but found this place online when looking for somewhere to walk my dog after our Thanksgiving meal at the nearby Cracker Barrel. Parking was plentiful enough, with clean bathrooms available right there. The trail was well maintained, with trash cans and doggy doo bag stations at several points. There are neighborhood back yards along parts of the trail, and it felt very safe. We walked about a mile and a half in before turning around. We saw a baby snake, and heard some unidentified animal sounds that were very interesting! The sun was setting when we were there and the light, especially along the boardwalk across the marshy areas, was lovely. A beautiful and accessible trail. Hope to make it back sometime and go further in.

If you need a nature get away, this your place. The path is wide and is paved and/planked through beautiful marsh lands. Awesome for runners, walkers, and families. Bring fish food if you want to feed the turtles. Be wary after heavy rain, the Greenway does flood in certain areas.
