(from Google)I was there to hear a band. Food was good and service was better. I love the layout of this place. WAY too loud for me, I dont know how people hear each other talk but hey, its a crowded pub so it's to be expected. Would eat here again at a quieter time.
Stopped by for a large family party. Set a table out since we couldn’t enter for health reasons. About 2 minutes later a man named Steve comes out angry and aggressive. Then started yelling at us. My wife was almost in tears. He berated another couple sitting out there as well. Still not sure what we did to have to endure this behavior. Other folks standing outside were also taken aback. Not sure what was wrong with him. Another patron asked if he was the owner to which he replied “If I was the owner, I’d be golfing, not giving a shit about my restaurant”. Just a terrible experience. Our extended family has been coming here for years 20 plus people for a celebration of Life. Really awful.
This is a unique and special place. While there are many great aspects of this bar, outstanding is its "homey" feel. There are great other bars in the area, many of which are very hospitable with gracious spaces, this is the first real "cozy" yet "exceptional" bar I have experienced in the Naperville area. Part of it is the very smart design, with the pseudo-stained glass, the unique "booths" that make you feel like your own cubby-hole, the fireplace, etc. This does not feel like some large-arena sports bar, but the kind of place I experienced in my 15 years of teaching in Limerick. Besides the greet feel and ambiance, the food was terrific. the Irish chips are a total surprise and treat ... nothing like them anywhere. The burgers were perfect angus beef at medium rare. To top it off, Krista was the kind of professional waitstaff you dream about. She was attentive without being pushy, informative with thoughtfulness and accuracy: a great ambassador for this wonderful place. We got there early [5:40 pm] so found a prime spot. As the evening wore on - even though the wind chill factor was brutal - the place filled up. My advice: get there early, find one of those comfort booths, settle in, and enjoy a laid back piece of heaven. As they say in Irish: Bheadh Bród as Naomh Pádraig
A very cute Irish pub with great indoor and outdoor seating. The food is good pub food. Consistently decent burgers, sandwiches. Everyone is friendly. First come first serve and they are busy but they also offer easy take out when you're looking for a decent option that isn't ridiculously expensive.
Really enjoyable night out. Great service & atmosphere. We had a table by the fireplace & they seem to have fireplaces in wach room. Lively but not loud. Burgers were delish!!
