They took amazing care of my dog with so much kindness and compassion, something I unfortunately did not experience at the Smyrna location. The doctor there didn’t even seem willing to examine my dog. I’m incredibly grateful for the staff and doctors at the Brentwood Maryland Farms location. Thank you all so much for your care and professionalism!

Best banfield location in Davidson county. They are cheery, efficient, and won’t try to nickel and dime you for everything (ex. Extra for restraint). Overall, they are just very accommodating

Pet owners should read this before choosing this clinic. I’m sharing this experience so other pet owners have full information when making decisions about care. My dog Hank underwent a dental cleaning and small mass removal under anesthesia at this clinic. Prior to surgery, he had been stable for months under oncology care and was cleared for the procedure with normal labs. After the surgery, he came home coughing, panting, pacing, and clearly uncomfortable. He did not sleep and refused food. I called the clinic the next day and was told this could be normal post operative behavior and to monitor him. When his symptoms did not improve, I brought him back to be examined. I specifically raised concerns about his coughing and breathing. I was told his lungs sounded clear and that there were no respiratory concerns. No imaging was performed, and he was sent home. Later that same day, his condition worsened and he began coughing up blood. His breathing continued to decline. The following day he deteriorated rapidly and we rushed him to an emergency specialty hospital. At the emergency hospital, imaging showed severe pneumonia. His condition had progressed to the point that treatment was no longer viable, and we were forced to euthanize him. This all occurred within days of what was supposed to be a routine procedure. The most difficult part is that he was evaluated the day before his death and we were reassured that his lungs were clear despite the severe pneumonia diagnosed shortly thereafter. To their credit, the clinic later reimbursed the cost of the surgery and follow up visits. However, the outcome and the sequence of events were devastating. I would encourage pet owners to ask detailed questions about post operative symptoms and to seek immediate second opinions if something does not feel right.

Brought in a kitten that was from a litter of a stray. Just wanted to get a general wellness check up & I received a “free visit coupon.” However, after the initial lobby welcome, we were immediately bombarded with options to buy plans, testing, and to get multiple shot series. The kitten is just 4 months old as of the 14th. When I declined the plans & said that I just wanted to make sure he was healthy. I was told that it was state law that he had to receive a rabies shot TODAY. I am still looking for the research that states such. Yet it almost felt like I would be in a hostage situation if I refused. The vet briefly glanced over my kitten. Everything seemed rushed after I declined the excess plans, packages, etc My kitten is now very lethargic. I will keep everyone updated. 3 stars for cleanliness and nice lady at the desk. Yet I don’t think we will be back based on feeling like we were in an aggressive sales pitch.

Took my dog George a week ago with a medical emergency. Unknown as to what the problem was the staff was very kind and knew how much my dog meant to me. They saved my dog and therefore highly recommend and will give a donation later for a job well done.
