(from Google)Highly incompetent. Zero compassion. I don't say this lightly or for a reason to just bash. I'm warning others. The vet and vet tech...asking about and recommending medications that are already in our dogs health chart!? For like...the past 11 years? Then trying to calculate how much medicine to give for the allergy shot on a calculator in front of me? That info, Literally in the medical record...that medicine/shot has been routine for nearly a decade, literally in the VCAs record. A routine exam and allergy shot turned into a 2 hour visit and canceling my clients thereafter. Nevermind the "So how should we do this?" while holding the syringe in hand. That offers up such confidence in a expensive visit. Different kind of chefs kiss. Part of the exam was taking her heartbeat, they tried getting that right after trying and failing to get a muzzle on a elderly 15lb dog. Visibly shaking and scared is probably not the best time to record vitals. Especially when she has a severe heart condition (takes meds for it, also in her medical record) It's funny, she doesn't need a muzzle when she gets her nails clipped. Something to be said for compassion and being gentle with a dog/animal. Not coming in like it's just another day at the office and eradicate any trust. They say dogs can sense and know bad people from the rest, perhaps that's why a muzzle even entered the picture. 0/10
My family and I have been taking our cats and dogs to North Park for 27 years and never had anything other than the best and most caring care for our pets. Today was no exception. The found a time slot in an otherwise booked schedule to lovingly, patiently, and very professionally work through our Labrador's last moments. The staff there from the front desk to the techs to the vets are, and always have been, absolutely wonderful to our family and pets. Thank you!
I bring my fur babies in here often for their ongoing issues. Barbara and Peggy are very knowledgeable and friendly. The doctors and techs are gentle with my pets, and provide quality care. They set up referrals for any of their special needs. I know my loved ones are in good care when I bring them in. I highly recommend this hospital. To the staff: Thank you for all you do for us! ❤️
Awesome A very personable and compassionate staff! OMG! I absolutely love them. On my 1st visit, I ended up having to euthanize my baby girl. They were so patient and loving! I never felt rushed. They allowed me all the time I needed and made her as comfortable as possible!
I want to start off by saying that I NEVER write reviews. I believe that if a business is good, it will prosper regardless of a review. With that being said, I truly feel like VCA North Park has gone above and beyond and if you are looking for a place to take your fur baby, THIS IS THE PLACE! My 13 year old German Shepherd is a new patient at VCA and is a pretty complicated case. Dr. Carley Jones spent an incredible amount of time with us and genuinely cared about my baby. During the initial exam, Dr. Jones and her assistant Britni worked through their lunch to ensure my baby was thoroughly examined! We all know vet visits can be expensive, especially if your pet needs a lot done. VCA is the most reasonably priced vet I've ever been to. Dr. Jones recommended several tests for my dog but also gave me alternative options that were more affordable. She is extremely great at following up with me regarding labs and overall well-being of my dog. Most doctors examine, prescribe then leave the rest to staff to relay messages, but she is in direct contact which makes you feel more comfortable and confident in her. I also would like to point out that the front desk staff is amazing. Barbara and Peggy are incredibly warm and helpful. I cannot thank this entire team enough for the care and compassion they give.
