I am beyond frustrated with this pet clinic. We reached out because one of my cats had a severely infected stomach, and on top of that, she’s been meowing constantly at night. We were desperate for real help, but they brushed it off as a behavioral issue, which it absolutely was not. When we asked for other options, the staff got an attitude, as if we were just a bother. They didn’t even do a proper exam when they gave my other cat a shot, we had to hold her ourselves because they couldn’t handle her. Yet, despite this bare minimum care, we were forced to pay for a full exam, including blood work, even though all they did was glance at her, give one shot, and take a stool sample. Afterward, they never called to check in on her once they gave her antibiotics they just disappeared all week. When I called with simple questions, they actually laughed in my face, and one of the vet techs was even laughing when I asked about other options to help her calm down at night. It was just so unprofessional. When we paid for a doctor visit, the doctor never even came in they just sent a tech. When they brought my cat back, she was meowing nonstop, running straight to me she’s normally so friendly, but she didn’t want that tech anywhere near her. And when we brought in my other cat, the doctor was scared and didn’t want to touch her at all. We had to hold our cat so they could give the shot, and again, they said they couldn’t help us. We still had to pay the full price, even though the care was minimal, and it was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I would never recommend them to anyone this whole ordeal was a complete waste of time

We scheduled surgery two weeks in advance for our dog to have two masses removed that were actively causing him issues. We booked flights and made arrangements around this procedure. The day before surgery, we were called and told it was canceled because their only surgical tech called out. While I understand emergencies happen, canceling a planned surgery with less than 24 hours’ notice, especially one that required travel planning and time off — was extremely frustrating. There were also multiple scheduling errors leading up to this. We received a call about a boarding appointment we never booked, and at one point they attempted to cancel a bloodwork appointment that we did have scheduled. After the surgery was canceled, I requested a refund for the deposit and asked to cancel everything. Since then, we have continued receiving calls and texts about an appointment the following week that we never scheduled. Although this was a bad experience I would like to say Dr Alderstein and her Vet Tech were both amazing each time we were seen. Very informative and caring. The lack of organization and communication added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation involving our dog’s health. I hope they improve their scheduling systems and reliability for future clients.

I am always grateful for a good referral when I need a new anything — so glad my Naples friend referred me to New Day in Bonita Springs. Very personable, loving and my Gus din't make a sound when he had his nails trimmed down a little bit. Gus and I have found our hometown veterinary.

When we arrived in Florida for our winter stay, we needed to get our dog her second dog flu shot. She had received her first one right before we left home up north and needed a follow up shot according to the instructions given to us at the vet clinic at home. When we took her in to the NewDay clinic to get the follow up shot, we provided them with the vaccination records from our hometown vet. NewDay transferred the information into their system which understandably took a little while. Then one of the veterinarians came in and started doing a full exam on our dog. I told her we just needed the follow up flu shot and that was all for now. She told me she had to run a full exam on her since she was new to the clinic. So, as it turned out, we were billed an extra $66 on top of the vaccination cost which I felt was unnecessary since she was just seen by our vet at home two weeks before our visit to NewDay. Two weeks later, we left our dog at the Pet Paradise for 4 days, in which the NewDay Veterinary Care was located, while we went on a cruise. As soon as we got back and took our dog home, she began having diarrhea issues. From our experience, not uncommon when a dog is separated from their owners for a period of time. They get stressed, we understand that. But the dog was showing discomfort after a second day so we took her back to NewDay. After a short conversation, they began explaining to us the battery of tests that would be needed to diagnose the issue. Two of the tests were going to require lab work from outside resources and was told it would take a day or two to get those results. A quick test of our dogs anal glands showed that she needed to have them expressed. Our dog was very sensitive to the original observation so they suggested that she be put out for the procedure. When they told us the costs of all the tests and the glands expressed would be nearly $1000.00, we balked and asked about alternatives. We opted to have her slightly sedated and drop the tests from outside labs. It still ran over $500. With all this said, we really got the feeling that they were trying to get as much as they could from us being a chain owned clinic. They discussed getting on a monthly care plan though them even though we told them we were only here a couple more months. They also gave us medicine for a specified time frame, but sold us twice the amount of medicine that was needed. Having two bad experiences in the two visits we had with them, caused me to feel the need to write this long winded review. I hope others have better experiences.

I rarely leave my two dogs at a kennel, however I had to go to Virginia over New Years and needed somewhere for my dogs. After visiting Pet Paradise and meeting the staff I felt very comfortable taking my two doodles there. I was able to watch them on video and see that that were happy and well cared for. When I picked them up they were clean and ready to come home. I highly recommend and I will definitely use this kennel again should the need arrise!
