Veterans Memorial Park

Went for a walk but was attracted to the Memorial Day flag presentation. It was beautiful and moving. Thank you to all the groups that sponsored it.

A very peaceful place to gather your thoughts or to catch up on work. I tend to come here to work on new menus. The view of the water is beautiful, never a bad crowd there , they often offer movie night, the carnival, just recently a food truck event which was great, and you can also come and pay respect to the fallen heroes at the war monuments. My grandfather was in WW2 and father in Vietnam. If you need that 30 minute calm, this is the park to take it at.

Nice place to relax and take a walk,it's great for taking pictures! There was a little boy handing out dandelions to everyone when I was there ❤️

3.31.23 A paved walkway. When I was a kid this site contained a very big factory...sponge rubber I think. Edit: Google "history of sponge rubber shelton.ct" View of the housantic river and rte 8 highway bridge and the very old train bridge (but still active). Along the way, we noticed that they are building (on the Derby side of River) what appears to be a docking station for boats...but I'm not positive. Can't wait to see what it will actually be

Beautiful place to sit and relax or to go for a walk/jog. Nice place to have the family and throw a ball around or even bring your dog.
