Great experience with Ellee today as our groomer. Punctual, kind and did great work! This is our first long haired dog and his first professional puppy groom. Will definitely recommend and be a repeat customer! (We keep his feet short for ease of cleaning, so we asked for that before you wonder, since it looks kinda funky haha.)

1-Star Review: Absolutely Heartless Experience I rarely leave reviews, but what I experienced with Texas Pet Love today was beyond unacceptable. I called seeking information about in-home euthanasia for my 18-year-old dog, who is nearing the end and deserves compassion, dignity, and kindness. Instead, I was met with one of the coldest, most uncaring interactions I’ve ever had with any pet-related service. The person on the phone was abrupt, dismissive, and completely lacking empathy. Rather than offering guidance or at the very least speaking with a shred of compassion, they acted as if my dog’s suffering was an inconvenience. When I tried to explain his condition, they cut me off, spoke over me, and ultimately hung up on me. Let me be clear: families reach out for these services during one of the hardest moments of their lives. We’re not calling for prices on grooming or boarding — we’re calling to say goodbye to a beloved family member. For Texas Pet Love to show zero humanity, zero patience, and zero compassion is absolutely disgraceful. If this is how they treat grieving pet parents in crisis, I shudder to imagine the level of care they’d provide behind closed doors. I expected warmth, understanding, and support. Instead I got rudeness and a dial tone. I will never recommend this company to anyone — especially not someone facing the heartbreaking decision of end-of-life care. No one deserves to be treated this way during such a vulnerable moment.

My mistake for giving this company multiple tries. This last time was the final straw. Groomer cut my dog’s nails so low it didn’t stop bleeding for at least an hour. Usually his grooming costs $184 including tip. This time they tacked on extra $25/min to take care of matted hair. Never did that before. Total came to $251. I wasn’t happy bc my dog bled all over my carpet. Owner messaged me saying she’d give me a discount…$20 like she did a favor. Wow. Forget this “business” it’s thievery.

I am beyond impressed and thankful for their service! They were able to get us in in a timely manner and the price for them coming to our home to groom was VERY good!! Jeffrey did an amazing job with my nervous Aussie. She has hip problems and is unable to stand for long periods. He took his time, was patient and so very kind. I’m definitely the type of person who is a loyal, reoccurring customer so we will definitely be using them again. My dog looks great and is finally comfortable from all her matts being taken off. Thanks again and I’ll definitely be referring any friends and family to you guys!!

I told the girl grooming my golden retriever I wanted him to be bathed and a golden retriever maintenance haircut to clean up his paws and trim up his backside and chest area. What I got in return was NOT at all what I described to the groomer. She took away everything that made my golden a golden! Thank goodness she didn’t do that much damage to his tail leaving that the only feature of a golden retriever recognizable. When I called to let them know my dissatisfaction with his groom they just said that the girl who groomed him never gets any complaints and does a good job with all of her grooms. The only excuse acceptable to this would be if he were matted and he was not. The groomer herself stated that he was not matted she just did what she thought was fine line cutting that no actual blade was taken to my dog’s fur. I told them that there is a drastic difference between his last groom and this one and offered to send them pictures. They stated that would be helpful and they will call me back once they received the pictures. Over an hour goes by and I call before their advertised closing hour of 5pm only to get the answering machine that they were closed. I messaged the number I was given to text the pictures and was told they needed to speak to the groomer one more time and that they are now closed and will call me on Monday. No offer to give me a refund for the haircut alone. No apologies for messing up my dog’s groom, just an apology for the delay in response. Will definitely not be using Pet Love again!
