(from Google)An amazing eatery in Austin. Great burgers, fries and a variety of desserts. There is outdoor and indoor sitting. We really enjoyed the outdoors decor with shaded trees and open space dining. A unique observation different from other restaurants or fast food places is that waiters and waitresses have no uniform and kind of blend in with customers. Overall, great experience in our visit to Austin! Will definitely visit again when I'm Austin!
Second time here. Love love love their happy hour! 😍 3-6pm EVERY DAY! Got the single cheeseburger again, but couldn't recall if their special sauce was spicy, so got it on the side. Turbs out, it's slightly spicy and I accidentally put too much on my burger, so I think I'll skip the sauce entirely next time because I can't handle spice at all! 😅 I wish I had gotten the double since they are really thin smash patties but really good! Their fries are seasoned well but not crispy enough for me, so I skipped those this time with plans to get the ice cream for dessert. Unfortunately they didn't have any ice cream today, and said their ice cream machine has been out of commission for some time. I hope it'll be fixed the next time we visit, because their ice cream was amazing last time! I opted for the lemon pound cake instead (because they were already out of my first three choices) and it was fine. Made me full and satisfied my sweet tooth, just wish it was a little easier to cut. But OMG their frozen dreamsicle margarita was indeed DREAMY! Like an orange julius and an extra strong margarita had a baby. lol Happy hour special are a cute, tiny size but two were enough to get me tipsy. Delish! Might get the regular size next time if they still have them. The citrus salt on the rim paired perfectly. 🤤
TL;DR: I went at happy hour and indeed was quite happy with everything! $6 burger, $6 drinks, good vibes. Will come back. Food: I went during happy hour, and I ordered a smash burger ($6), a paloma ($6), and an aperol spritz ($8). The burger is nothing extraordinary (just a patty and cheese), but it has a good flavor to it and is not greasy. I would totally order the paloma again: it has a nice subtle grapefruit flavor to it. Aperol spritz is a classic, but I would rather order another paloma! Service: You just scan a QR code to order, and you can open/close a tab easily. Love that it accepts Apple pay. Food came like 15 minutes before my drinks did, so there is definitely a bit of wait with drinks. Ambiance: I love the vibe out here -- it is essentially just a ton of benches with umbrellas to vibe at. A very chill outdoor experience, and all of my friends had positive things to say as well :)
We recently visited Sour Duck Market on a Friday evening and had about a 30-minute wait to be seated, which felt reasonable given how busy it was. The ambiance was great—laid-back, lively, and very kid- and pet-friendly, which we appreciated. The food itself was tasty overall. The Wagyu burger was flavorful, though much smaller than I expected for the price. On the flip side, the focaccia melt was much larger than I pictured and very satisfying. We also tried the Jet Pilot frozen drink; it was definitely strong, with a heavy alcohol flavor that was a bit too much for our taste. One thing to note is the dining experience is extremely hands-off. The hostess takes your name and seats you, and from there everything is done through a QR code—ordering, paying, and leaving. There’s no explanation of menu items, no refills offered, and no check-ins from staff once your food is delivered. If you prefer a no-interaction dining experience where you can just eat and go, this is definitely the place for you. Overall, good food and a nice atmosphere—just know what to expect going in.
Popped in for some breakfast as my partner and I were headed out of Austin and im so glad we stopped through! My partner got the breakfast taco, it was so good she went back to order a second! I got the breakfast sammy and an order of fries with the most amazing ketchup (im assuming housemade) I've ever had. The breakfast tacos have a very layered but balanced flavor, the milder cheese option works better here. The breakfast sammy (sausage) was well seasoned - the fresh onion, arugula blend and cilantro avacado sauce were just that added touch of creamy, herby flavor. The fries were most definitely cooked in beef tallow and tossed in a zesty seasoning blend. We also got a cocktail and a tequila sunrise, both were delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and if I lived in Austin id go back for dinner and some cold beers on the spacious patio area. When im back in town, ill most certainly be visiting the restaurant again.
