J.B. Gibson Park

This is a really nice, quiet park. There is a playground with swings and a climbing/slide set good for approx ages 5-12. Plus 2 parent/child dual swings. There are usually a couple people/kids here, but usually not that many. There is an adjacent fenced dog park, basketball court, and a paved sidewalk-style trail that circles the area. There's plenty of parking, but there are NO Restrooms.

I know Hillsborough County is doing what they can. Too many dogs off leash and people leaving garbage. Some of the dogs off leash are huge. Somebody left a lazyboy recliner in the parking lot. Apparently Walmart carts show up here. And the people in the trailer park next door make trouble in the park. A guy from the trailer park wanted to fight me. Maybe that makes him feel like a man.

Great Child & dog park! There are 2 separate fenced in dog parks right next to each other Inside the park. One for small dogs & one for large. The park has a paved walkway that goes around the whole park which we walk first & then play in the fenced in dog park. They also provide poop bags all around. There are several picnic tables, a playground & basket ball court. It's never crowded. The most people I've seen on a busy day was about a dozen. Not a lot of shade, but one picnic table has shelter. The dog parks have a large semi shaded tent thing.

The new park is so much better. Great playset and I love the walking path But I would suggest a few things. More shelters or a splash pad. At the very least a water bottle refill station. With this heat kids need a way to cool off.

They’ve updated this park and the playground. It’s a fun playground with a lot of elements to it and the walking path is nice and long. It’s nice that it’s set back and has a nice area
