This park has around 6 miles of trails. Mostly wide mowed paths along a wooded ridge and scrub. Not much shade in most parts. Though there are sections where you are in shaded pine woods which is nice. At least one of the trails has a lot of thick sand which can be hard to trudge through but it doesn't last long. It was extremely peaceful and no one else was even there when I went. It's likely a popular horse riding trail, for good reason, since it's so open and the trails are easy to navigate, but lots of poop also. There are a few picnic tables scattered throughout but no bathrooms. Also no garbage cans and unfortunately the small parking area was covered in trash. Saw lots of birds and a snake. There are also tons of animal tracks and evidence of hogs. According to the sing there, this place will be closed certain days come January for hog hunting so check ahead. The trails shown on the sign are very well marked, but there are lots of other trails within the park that are not marked but look well mowed and used. This park is best for cooler months.

Small park with a network of short trails that allow you to choose a loop that fits your schedule.

Breathtaking sunrise with lots of birds and spider webs. There was a guy checking out my car when I left. Make sure you lock your car.

The trails were overgrown with grass. It looks like someone mowed, but only a small segment. There are some sandy parts of the trail and mostly full sun. The mosquitoes were bad as there is a lot of wet areas including on the trails. It’s peaceful though which we enjoyed! Overall a nice place to hike. Looking forward to trying it in the fall when it’s cooler.
