I enjoyed myself minus the fact that I had two karens behind me walking their dog talking loud as hell for a portion of the trail. Once they were gone the rest was awesome. Kicked up a bunch of deer and rabbit which was beautiful to watch. Although I will say at the end of my loop I noticed a sign talking about the toxic levels and that the fish are not edible. What in the world is in the water?

If you’re a nature lover, this hidden gem near Germantown in the Memphis area is a must-visit. Tucked right within the city, it’s hard to believe such a lush, green escape exists so close to urban life—until you see it for yourself. With ample parking available, access is easy, and once inside, you’re greeted by beautiful greenery and the calming flow of the Wolf River. The area offers a variety of scenic hiking trails, perfect for walking, running, or exploring at your own pace. You can even enjoy water activities along the Wolf River beach. Serene, refreshing, and peaceful—this spot is a true sanctuary for anyone seeking a break in nature.

The trail was a great escape from regular suburban/city life. The trees create a nice canopy, so you're shielded from most traffic noises. It can be very shady in the daytime, so I'd assume that at night it would be very hard to navigate, but I think the trails close at sundown. One of the trails opens up to the Wolf River Beach, which is a wonderful oasis in the middle of the city. It's a freshwater lake with a sandy shore and is great to relax, go for a quick swim, or for family photos.

I love the Wolf River. I especially love kayaking in it, but when I can't kayak on it I like to walk to the bank. The rails here are generally free of debris and we'll marked. Is it a great outdoors activity to get out and walk or ride bikes.
