The staff here is amazing but Dr. Jeff takes the cake. He's very compassionate, knowledgable, and I love his approach in ensuring that I as the pet owner have the information I need to make the best decisions my pets. I've taken both my small cat and very large dog to him now, and am very confident in knowing we'll have the right doc through their lifespans to best meet their needs. Very glad I made the switch from a larger corporate practice to this smaller, friendly and very reasonably priced practice.

I took my aging doggy in today thinking she would have a dental as I knew gums were infected. She has oral cancer however and DVM was honest and upfront with me. He didn't try and do invasive surgery and was very honest about different treatment options. Staff was caring and guided me through process.

Wow our first appointment here and I’m very impressed! They were fast and efficient but also kind and personable. They DO NOT separate owner and animal upon arrival 😊😊😊. This is a small business and you can see they truly care about each animal that comes here . I highly recommend giving them a try . They are affordable and reasonable not pushy at all ! Coming here is such a breathe of fresh air , after years of corporate vets pushing products and not caring for the health of my dog. Thank you olde town vet !

How has it taken me so long to write a review? I hope I live in CO forever because I never want a different vet. My pupper Howie is a tripod rescue who comes from a lot of trauma and I felt a bit like a fish out of water when I first adopted him. Traci has been with us the whole way, supporting both of us to give him the best life possible. Her and the rest of the staff are all warm, kind, supportive, prompt, and thorough. Not to mention their great humor! Howie is usually very nervous in vet/hospital spaces but he does SO WELL with the staff there. I would shout from the rooftops how much I love everything about Schafer Vet Clinic, but I guess a google review will have to suffice. Thank you for everything, y'all. We treasure you.
