Ever since we moved to Colorado, we have used Jefferson Animal Clinic for our vet. We unfortunately had to put our dog Kili down right after the new year. For all of the visits Kili received the staff was always very kind and took the extra time to make sure she was as comfortable as possible. When our Kili got sick with cancer we didn't have much time, and we put Kili down at the clinic. It was one of the hardest days of my life, but the staff at Jefferson Animal Clinic made the experience as calm and caring as possible. Their separate side room with separate entrance provided privacy for that tough day. We just adopted a cat recently and didn't think twice about continuing our support of this wonderful practice. We actually moved a bit further away 3 years ago but I can't imagine going anywhere else. We feel like family here and lately those types of businesses are harder to find in my opinion.

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS VET!!!!! Please read. I recently rescued a King Charles cavalier. I had very little history on him and took him there to establish care. I was told he needed 13 extractions along with a cleaning. I scheduled a couple weeks after I was given the diagnosis, Charlie never recovered from this procedure and has passed. I took Charlie in a couple days after his surgery because he vomited and also had diarrhea. They gave him antibiotics. Since they didn't do any testing, they would have known that wasn't the issue. I took him back the following day with labored breathing. At this visit they kept him for the day and still no test to try and figure out why he was declining. He was getting worse the next day and stopped drinking water and eating. At that point my husband and I took him to a local ER. After testing we found out that his red blood count was low along with his platelets. We immediately took him for specialty ER care to get a blood transfusion. When I called the next day to get his blood work numbers prior to surgery I was told they never took any because he was under 7yrs old. This seems very negligent since we had no history on Charlie. After I told them Charlie passed NO ONE has called my husband or myself with any follow up. WHERE IS THEIR COMPASSION? My Charlie is dead and not even a condolence call. Please don't make the same mistake I did... do not TRUST your animal in their care.

Oakley had his first visit. Had some surgery and vaccines. Everyone was so nice. They took great care of him. I recommend Jefferson Animal Clinic as a great place to take your pet.

Wonderful place! I took our little boy, Sammy, for his first visit after being adopted. Not only am I happy that he has a clean bill of health, I am happy with how friendly and professional the staff is. Felt very cozy and welcome right as we came in after a cold and anxious trip. Thanks y’all!
