Pet Paradise

Im from out of town and originally came to get spiders from a different store. But I noticed that Pet Paradise had one I wanted. I checked out the enclosure nothing seemed off so I bought an avicularia avicularia. I woke up this morning to travel back home and noticed that the container had grew larvae. Anyone new to the hobby knows that is detrimental. I had to make a quick transfer to an enclosure I had bought on the way up.

Disappointed...I loved this store and even after we moved an hour away still drove out of my way to shop there for my pet needs. Recently my son purchased a parakeet. They said to bring the bird back in 3 days to get him weighed otherwise the warranty is invalid. Well the third day happened to be on a Saturday. Saturdays are our sabbath day of rest and due to our religion we can not go on that day. We asked if we could bring him the next day and were told no. I understand why some may think thats ok but for me it feels gross. Its not like we just dont want to go, we cant go. The nice worker said it should be ok but his manager said absolutely not. I understand everyone has their own beliefs but come on. So because of our religion we miss out. Disappointed and will never shop there again.

It's like an indoor zoo where you can buy the animals! Birds, birds, and more birds are all out on display for holding/touching/petting, as are the rabbits and guinea pigs, ferrets with permission. There's a reptile room (snakes/spiders/lizards), a fish room with fresh and saltwater fish, turtles, and corals. Awesome place to shop or just go to have fun! Bring the kids!

I bought a bird here today. I have to say it was a first class experience. Micah is a gem! I appreciate all his knowledge about parrots. I actually worked at the store years ago and I have to say it was pretty great then, but it is amazing now. They really care about their animals. It’s run very well. They are very careful not to overcrowd the bird area. I am super impressed. In my opinion this is the only place to get a small animal in Hampton Roads.

I've gone here since I was 5 years old. Its a wonderland of life. Although now I focus on the aquatic world. (Which btw they have a large variety of fish and great pricing on coral) They have the most diverse store in hampton roads. Fish, coral, birds, Reptiles, mammals and more. You'll sure to be suprised at the diversity present.
