Lakefront Trail

Really nice trail for a good walk or jog. You can cycle here as well! Predominantly a flat trail all through out - you can either start from Beard park which is right off East Eldorado Parkway or from the Witt Road side because it goes all the way there. Nice views all through but there are some patches that isn’t that great. There is good parking at both ends of the trail. It’s a gravel trail mostly and is an out and back type trail with an overall stretch of around 8.7 miles (back and forth together) It is maintained well and there’s plenty of parking at both ends of the trail. I’m sure the trail looks different in different seasons. Also, felt some parts of the trail was a bit eerie/shady (somewhere at the midpoint)

Mostly unpaved trail but has some kind of red gravel. Trail is wide with some lake views with lots of Nature

Beautiful wide trail in Little Elm! I’m so glad I found this spot to walk in nature. I do agree it’s tough with it being out and back. It’s all flat which is really nice.

Visited Lakefront Trail for the first time today, and what a treasured find! It’s a nicely laid out path and plenty of shade along the trail. I got to see some fun wildlife including turtles, snakes, a bunny, and plenty of butterflies and non threatening bugs! There’s plenty of space on the path for runners, walkers, and bikers to share without any issues. I’ll definitely be back! :) 10/10

Great trail, very clean and wide walking area. This is flat trail great to walk dogs or take kids. Only thing I would say I didn’t like to much was you walked out and back it doesn’t connect.
