(from Google)The playground is pretty small and the surrounding area feels congested. It has a nice open field if you wanted to play some sports. The trail itself is wooded and feels secluded if you want to get some nature without leaving the city, and you'll see some nice views overlooking the creek along the way.
Was in town a few days and looking for a place to move my body. I enjoyed my run on the dirt trails. Watch out for the danger noodles though!
I have been looking for the perfect park near my job to walk and this is most certainly the one. The nature trails are everything and very shaded. 10/10 recommended.
PLEASE DON'T LITTER AND RUIN THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE! Mostly clean, but like literally every 'nature' area in the entire Metroplex, you can't escape the litter. Here, it is mostly the areas directly adjacent to the apartments in which you'll find dozens of poop bags (at least it's bagged?!), drink bottles, etc. But the further you walk, the cleaner it gets. Even the water is relatively free of litter. Trails are clearly marked, lots of hidden moments and discoveries to be found. Beware of the chupacabra.
I've lived in this area for years and just today decided to go for a visit. It definitely beat my expectations. We followed the yellow trail and had several spots that were worth a picture. It was in the low 60's with not a cloud in the sky and it was perfect. Considering I went on a holiday weekend, there weren't many people. Definitely didn't feel crowded in the slightest. I'll be going back again soon for sure!
