It's a nice trail but some people like to walk their Dogs without leashes. Also some who have bigger Dogs don't know how to control them on leashes. My dog almost got attacked by a pitbull here because his owner could not control the leash but outside of that it's a nice place to walk.

This park is attached to trails that go to two other parks and has ample walking space.

Beautiful! I was on my Hiboy 2 Pro escooter and had a great time. Lots of wildlife. The scenery is amazing. Very quite and comfortable to visit. You can hear the electric towers above make a buzzing noise. I recommend taking a hike or just bike riding through this beautiful trail. I especially love feeding the large amounts of turtles throughout the lake. Bring some bread. Northdale Lake Park Trail is a beautiful and relaxing place to enjoy the outdoors. I really appreciate the well-maintained trails, which are perfect for walking, jogging, or simply taking a peaceful stroll. The views around the lake are especially nice and create a calm, scenic atmosphere that makes each visit enjoyable. It’s a great spot to clear your mind, get some fresh air, and enjoy nature without feeling crowded. The trail is clean, inviting, and easy to navigate, making it suitable for people of all ages. Northdale Lake Park Trail is a wonderful local gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant outdoor experience.

It's a sports complex that runs into a nature park. Maintenance is needed on the field. To get the the Nature part follow the paved path to the left of the parking area. There is a creek that is parallel to the right paved path that ends at a water treatment area. Keep an eye out for the gopher tortoise holes. I saw only 2, but I couldn't find the owners of the holes. Wear comfortable shoes, make sure you are covered, bring sunglasses. I was the only one for about an hour exploring the area. I only walked to the 3 ponds out of the 5. One is barely visible from all the brush it will be the first you find on your path it is parallel to the dirt path which is parallel to the path to the right of the parking area a ways down. The 2nd and 3nd are next to each other and in front of the electrical plant. I plan to explore more next time I go. Have fun on your exploring and please for the love on nature throw your trash in a trashcan or take it with you when you leave. Take nothing, but pictures. Leave nothing, but memories.

I started the paved trail from Northdale Lake Park Trail and walked the Whirley Road and Northdale blvd trailheads. The total was just over 2.5 miles. There wasn't much for shade or nature, two small lakes and lovebugs (lots). I saw a small turtle at the end of the Northdale blvd trailhead. It's a nicely maintained trail for the surrounding neighborhoods. Most of it is underneath powerlines.
