(from Google)Everything was delicious! Our waitress Nilly was so sweet and checked in often. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming to families and overall a great experience.
My wife found this restaurant after we checked out of our hotel in Odessa, on our way home to Jacksonville. It was very quaint and had a nice arrangement of knick-knacks around the restaurant. I showed my wife, who originated from Costa Rica, the old-fashioned toaster by the door just like the one our family had for many years. Megan was our server and she did a fantastic job. The food was very tasty, though it was much higher in price than we were expecting. Still, it's a perfect place for dining inside or outside. The food was very delicious and the layout of the restaurant provided many options for large and small families and groups.
Hmm… the Breakfast Nook is a pretty typical breakfast place. It’s not anything special, nor is it anything worth outright avoiding, it’s just… average. The coffee is pretty typical diner coffee. Weak, slightly burned flavor. The pancakes taste pretty bland. We weren’t offered any syrup with the pancakes, but there was jam and fruit spread on the table already. Eggs Benedict were unique, to say the least. Instead of poached eggs, you get medium-done fried eggs, and American cheese slices on each one. They look quite unappetizing, but tasted better than expected. Biscuits and gravy taste pretty much out of a can (Pilsbury most likely), not homemade powder biscuits. Good enough in my opinion, and one of the better dishes we got. Service is prompt and good - no problems here. We went on a Sunday, and it was busy, but there are plenty of seats outside. Prices are reasonable - $12-15 for breakfast entrees and sides. We didn’t try lunch. Maybe lunch is better? My last gripe is with default tip schedule on the card machine - 20/25/30%. I guess with a bill of $40, it’s not the end of the world, but just surprising that this is what is suggested for mediocre food. We’re going to keep looking for better breakfast / brunch options.
The food was very good ! We went on a Sunday before the post church rush but they stated they were very understaffed. 30 min wait when over 20 tables were open because the kitchen was behind. Everything was made fresh and very delicious. The staff was very kind, it took awhile to be greeted but once she greeted us it was very quick. We probably waited 10 mins after we ordered to get the food! The restaurant its self is very welcoming and family oriented. Definitely will go back but maybe not on a time crunch!
Everything was very good from the moment we arrived and received a friendly greeting. Our drinks and food came out very quickly. The bacon and eggs were well cooked (cheese is served on top of the eggs, not melted) and the French Toast was good. I was reluctant to get the orange cream French Toast but it was very good. The server was very friendly and attentive. Coffee and drinks were a little pricey ($4.50 each x 5 added up). Overall a good experience.
