(from Google)Our first visit didn’t go very well - our dog was really nervous and had a tough time. But the team at Rose City Vet went out of their way to make sure our next visit would be better. They connected us with Drea, who leads their socialization visits. Every few weeks, we’d come in during lunch hours, when the clinic was quieter, and walk around the exam rooms and facility so our dog could get familiar with the space and with Drea. Drea was incredibly patient and always helpful. She often followed up with additional resources, and whenever we needed anything she made sure it was taken care of quickly. The socialization visits made a huge difference and really helped our dog feel more comfortable when it was time to come back for her vaccines!
Everyone was so kind and understanding towards both me and Saki. You all went above and beyond what I expected. Thank you so much. UPDATE: Saki crossed the Rainbow Bridge last week with the kind help of the wonderful folks at Rose City Veterinary Hospital. The room was softly lit with soft music and Saki went quietly to a better place. They could not have been nicer. Unlike OnPoint "Community" Credit Union who would not lend me even $500 to help Saki cross the bridge so we both had to wait and suffer for days before I received my Social Security and both Saki and I could end our suffering. Thanks OnPoint. You are anything but a "community" credit union. And thank you sincerely to Rose City Veterinary Hospital who came through with flying colors in my time of need. I so recommend Rose City Vet for EVERYTHING. OnPoint "Community" Credit Union... not so much. There are other, kinder credit unions in Portland like Rivermark who DID come through for Saki when he needed vet help a few years ago.
I've been going to this clinic for 6 years because of Dr. Perchick. My dog was unfortunately terminal and needed to be euthanized. Although my doctor was not available they did an outstanding job! Truly amazing. I've had many animals in my life and have done this many times. It's never good no matter what. But this clinic made the experience peaceful and tranquil for myself and my beautiful girl Lola as she left this world! Most clinic's just put you in a room and that's it. This clinic had a room that was dimly lit. With peaceful music playing softly. I was given enough time to say goodbye without feeling rushed to get out of the room. This clinic does charge the going rate at least for their services. But the staff and the doctors are top notch! Dr. Perchick is very kind and helpful. He cares that I am low income. So even though this clinic charges what most clinic's charge. I save money over other clinics because of my doctor!
Over 17 years, the Rose City crew took care of our loved cat. There was a time after moving to the west side that we went to other places, but never felt we got the same level of care that Rose City gave him. So, we started making the drive back to the east side, and so glad we did. All the way to assessing his Quality of Life at the end, they treated him and us with dignity, the utmost care, and best intentions for his well-being. Special thank you to Drea, Dr. Beswick, and Hattie for the years of care, and to Dr. Taylor for walking us through his final stage; giving us the time to be with him and take him back home. Couldn't give them any bigger recommendation for a veterinarian and care service. Thank you.
Rose City Vet is better than other vets I’ve been to in the past many years. Their waiting room and pet relief areas allow dogs and cats to come and go in comfort The practitioners are friendly and caring. I’ve experienced them listening more than other vets. Since I know my pets better than anyone I feel this is important. They show compassion and discuss your options with you each step of the way. Veterinary care is medically inadequate and limited. It’s like going back to one town doctor for everything from a tooth ache to a tumor. These guys do as well as any vets I’ve seen with what the industry has to work with.
