i've been with brooklyn yard since 2022 and they're truly the best vet i've ever worked with. whether it's a small check up or a bigger issue, they're ALWAYS happy to take the time to talk situations through with me versus trying to rush things along. the whole staff is so friendly and sweet, they genuinely love my pup and care about his well being and it means so much

I changed Vet clinics due to my previous vet clinic being bought by a Private Equity Company and changes I did not like. My friend recommended Brooklyn Yard. I love that it’s independently owned by women. My heeler mix was seen by Dr. Phelps to establish care and my golden retriever was seen today by Dr. Nuccio. Both Veterinarians were wonderful, kind and gentle with my dogs and spent a good amount of time examining them. My heeler mix can be a little nervous with new people, but he immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Phelps and even sat in her lap. I was not pressured into using their pharmacy for my dogs medication and was even told about using Costco to fill my heelers apoquel which is quite expensive. The clinic is beautifully decorated with artwork of different dogs and cats. It’s a very calm environment and the check in process is great. You will never see a dog or cat when you check in or leave, which I love. The treats they give are single protein treats and cheese whizz on a lick mat, which both my dogs loved. My dogs are raw fed so it was wonderful to see that they didn’t give kibble as treats like most clinics do. The Vet techs are wonderful too, very kind. Can’t say enough good things about this clinic. So happy I changed clinics. I have a lot of friends in the dog rescue community and will 1000% recommend Brooklyn Yard to everyone I know! Pricing is very reasonable too!

Brooklyn Yard has been incredible to work with! Dr. Hooper helped with medication recommendations for my anxious dog, and has been wonderful with checking in. As a first time dog parent, they have been very thorough, transparent, and welcoming! Thanks for all you do :)

We did proceed with our dog’s dental extractions at this hospital. The veterinarians and staff were professional, but the pricing was alarmingly high. The total came to $4,500 for dental extractions, a figure that is well outside the norm for comparable procedures at other reputable veterinary clinics. While I understand the necessity of anesthesia and skilled care, this cost felt inflated and poorly justified. What stood out most was the lack of meaningful transparency at a time when pet owners are emotionally vulnerable. Once you’re in that position, walking away doesn’t feel like a real option. Our dog recovered well, which I appreciate. That said, I would strongly encourage anyone considering dental work here to get multiple estimates beforehand. The care may be competent, but the pricing warrants serious scrutiny.

This is the only vet our older dog has not been afraid of. She is so calm whenever she has to go to the vet. They are so sweet and gentle with her. They get down on the floor with my dogs and give them lots of love before starting to do anything. We will be moving out of this neighborhood soon but we will still make the drive back here to keep them with this current vet. We recommend them to anyone who asks!
