(from Google)Been living near here for almost 3 years and didn't know about it. Hidden gem!! Without doubt the best prime rib I've had in Arizona. The filet mignon was incredible as well. Both were cooked perfectly. It does get loud but that seems to be a lot of places these days. The margaritas were very good as well. This is a place that should be hopping til later than 9p on the weekends.
My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant to listen to a musician who was playing there last night. We each had 2 cosmos. They were tasty and strong but in a small glass. We tried the potato skins that they call Slate skins. I wouldn't recommend them because they were overcooked with no flavor. We received three and only ate two. It came with a very small amount of sour cream to spread on it. We ordered the carrot cake to share and it was very good. I would definitely order this again. We told our waiter that the carrot cake was great, but the piece was so tiny. I took a picture of it to share. He just said, "Yeah, but it's sugar-free. " What kind of response was that? The actual picture of the carrot cake looks much larger than it really was. The picture also makes our cosmo glasses look large. I was kind and gave Slate Bistro four stars for the yummy carrot cake and the drinks that were good. The service was average, but I gave him 4 stars, too. The restaurant and 🍸 bar area is nice. We will go back when Dr. Dave plays here again. 😀
Hidden gem! Slate is a truly hidden gem restaurant located within the Trilogy at Power Ranch. I have been going there for lunch or dinner for quite some time and I always had a great experience (they serve breakfast as well but I did not have a chance to try it yet). The place offers dining room and patio overlooking the golf course with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains along with live music on selected days. Check their event calendar for more info. The food is always amazing, offered with fresh and quality ingredients, good presentation and sometimes with a surprising twist. It is great place for either quick meal, dinner or any small or bigger celebration event. I highly recommend this restaurant! Enjoy 🙂
We went here on the advice of a friend. She said the food was really good. Well our trip was not that good. First of all two of us had the Walleye Which she had told us was very good. The picture she shared with the last time she ate there looked very appealing. What we were served was nothing like her last meal here. First of all the portion was very small, and prepared differently. I had sauteed brussel sprouts, which were pretty much raw ( barely warm). Possibly the worst sprouts I have ever had. 3 others in our party had the prime rib, which they liked and was better than expected. Probably the worst part of our evening was the service. Our waiter seemed nice but that was as far as that went. He never checked in on us, we had to track him down several times for missing silverware, water, and other things. I've gotten better service at fast food places and sports bars. For the prices they charge this place is not worth going to.
Amazing food and fantastic staff! I have eaten here a couple of times now and every time it has been outstanding. I have tried the Chicken Alfredo, tater skins, chipotle burger and salad and they’ve all been fresh and delicious. The croutons are soft and appeared to be freshly prepared (not the hard boxed croutons). The chipotle burger was my favorite and will certainly order again. The burger was flame broiled and cooked to perfection. I paired the burger with sweet potato fries and they were light and tasty! I highly recommend this hidden gem!
