W G Jones State Forest

Definitely worth going to. Just a piece of advice, download the trail map ahead of time. Signal was not the greatest and there's a lot of twists and turns to easily get disoriented on.

WG Jones is one of my go-to spots—I come here all the time with both of my dogs and we love it. The trails are spacious, which makes it easy to keep distance from others, so I don’t have to stress about my dogs jumping on people as we pass by. It’s a great place to get outside, get some exercise, and let the dogs enjoy themselves. The only thing to watch out for is the occasional horse poo on the trails—but that just comes with the territory! Overall, such a great spot and definitely recommend if you have dogs.

I just moved into the area. This state forest is a short 1.5 mile ride or walk from me. Scenic, quiet, nice wide paths. I need to come here more often to explore.

Gorgeous scenery, great place for horses and for mountain bikes, fishing or just walking. I’ve done all of it here and love being in nature. Such a peaceful area. Plenary of room to park and unload horses as well as a place to mount for folks with disabilities. I used to often take my dogs on horse back rides as well. Very dog friendly, as long as you have a good handle on your dog off leash is fine.
