On Tuesday, Kenneth was extremely helpful and kind. He helped me create a Petco account and told me how much I saved. Definitely made my shopping experience a lot better!
The sales associates at this location were beyond helpful. My cat was sick and her carrier broke, so I went to this Petco to get a new one. The sales associate went out of her way to find a suitable carrier, even going in the back to find the perfect one. They also provided some advice on how to clean the carrier if my cat were to have an accident. Thank you for the exceptional customer service!
I am submitting this review to formally document a pattern of unprofessional and inappropriate conduct at this Petco location. The store is chronically understaffed, and the employees routinely demonstrate behavior that is discourteous, dismissive, and inconsistent with basic standards of customer service. On multiple occasions, I have been questioned about my dog’s perfectly normal, playful growling — behavior any knowledgeable pet professional should recognize. This reflects a troubling lack of fundamental animal behavior understanding among staff members. Additionally, the employees have repeatedly refused to provide bags upon request, forcing me to carry multiple items by hand, which is both inconvenient and inconsiderate. Even more concerning, I have been denied restroom access despite informing them that I have a medical condition involving a weak bladder. Such a refusal may constitute a failure to provide reasonable accommodation, which is deeply unprofessional and potentially in violation of accessibility or disability rights standards. Furthermore, I have been subjected to inappropriate personal advances, including employees asking me out while I was shopping — an entirely unacceptable and disrespectful breach of professional boundaries. This behavior could reasonably be construed as harassment and contributes to an overall hostile environment. I strongly urge Petco corporate management to initiate a formal investigation into this location’s staffing, training, and compliance with customer service and workplace conduct policies. Immediate corrective action is necessary to restore integrity and ensure this establishment operates within professional and ethical standards. Until such action is taken, I cannot recommend this store to anyone.
I honestly can’t believe this store has 4.3 stars. I went twice because unfortunately it’s the closest one to me, and both times I had a bad experience. The first time, there was a man working who did nothing but complain about his job. He was annoyed that he had to prepare online orders and also help customers (there were just me and one other client, both browsing on our own). But at least that time we managed to enter the store without a problem. The second time, I went during opening hours (all the signs said it was open, and it matched the hours listed on Google Maps), but the door was locked. I saw a girl inside, so I signaled to her, and she reluctantly opened the door. She told me she was keeping it closed because she was only letting in a certain number of customers since she was alone. That “certain number” was one client at a time. While I was inside, another woman arrived and tried to open the door but couldn’t. She knocked repeatedly, but the girl ignored her. With the attitude of the employee, I didn’t even feel comfortable trying to open the door for her. I also wasn’t sure if she had left the key in the door, or if I was basically locked inside with her. I bought what I needed and left. If having only one client at a time is really the policy when there’s just one employee working, then at least they should put a buzzer at the door. But honestly, with how unhelpful and uninterested the employee was, I think she would ignore the buzzer anyway. I’ve seen some comments saying the service here was good, and I really don’t understand it. I’ll give it a third try to see if I have better luck.
