Barky Mountain Grooming

First experience here with my pup...he walked out looking like a show dog. In fact told several others about my positive experience. Second visit could not have gone worse. Cut was less than satisfactory. His coat feels coarse and not soft like it should after a typical groom. He was wet when I picked him up. The worst part...they shaved too close in his bottom area thus it was bright pink and causing great discomfort and a visit to my vet to get medication. Also they trimmed or did omething to his hind foot because he has been ontinually licking it. Nail trims are supposed to be a part of the groom charge. His nails were not done. I paid $200 for this. Steer clear of this place. Incredibly frustrated and disheartened that my pup was in such discomfort and a vet visit was required. This should never happen. It should be a pampering. Shortcuts and injuring dogs is absolutely unacceptable. Yes, I did bring all of this to the attention of not only the supposed groomer but also the manager. They offered to wash him again and trim his nails. I chose to not subject him to going back there due to too many concerns. I also canceled a future appointment with my other pup. I will find a safer groomer for my pups.

Misaki is beyond amazing. I was scared because my dog has anxiety but he did absolutely amazing with her. It was my 2 little shih-tzus first times here and they look better than they did when they would get their fur groomed at their last place. Misaki is the most gentle, amazing, kind, and calm person ever ! We will be back here for all of their further grooming needs.

I had a really great experience here. It was sort of on the pricier end (for me, maybe not other people) but I am glad I came here. They were really quick (done within an hour) and I feel like with Petco or other places they takes hours and just leave your pet in a cage before and after. My dog got to play with other dogs here and the staff were really friendly. She came back looking so gorgeous, they clipped her nails and brushed her teeth and de shed her. She smells so good and looks really good. She is cautious of new people and the staff were really good with her. I will probably do this a few times a year and will always come to them!

I took my Theodore (Golden retriever) I was skeptical just due to him never having been to a groomer and having heard horror stories. But they did amazing. He was trimmed just how they explained his tail and flooff was all brushed out and he smelt good, he was completely soft. Also completely shed free. They were super sweet and understanding and was able to get him in quickly for the groom. He seems like he enjoyed his time with them and what I was quoted was exactly what I paid. For be a first time skeptical dog mom. I was extremely happy with the service. I attached some photos of the trim, he was exactly as I had hoped he would come out.

Awesome groomer!! I personally love that they do not keep your dog all day in a holding cell. They only cut one dog at a time and therefore you can either wait or come back in an hour. My dog gets anxious just going into a grooming facility and I think it's because she's in a crate most of time and surrounded by other anxious, loud dogs. She was very calm and happy when I picked her up at Barky Mountain and the cut was cute. I think this is a family run business. Everyone is very nice, friendly and skilled!
