Very nice place to walk the trails and look at the caged birds on display

My first time visiting this park. "Let's go for a walk" There is plenty of parking available. The Nature Center is the first building where you're greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff, a cute hognose snake (I don't like snakes, but this one has a cute little head, I was so intrigued!) Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, butterflies! And a walk down the trail leads you to the Moccasin Lake. It's absolutely a wonderful place for an afternoon walk, for children to visit and enjoy presentations and nature. Highly recommend it!

We went during their Earth Day festival. My 61/2 year old Granddaughter had fun with all of the activities provided. I think we both learned something from the vendors, and volunteers that were displaying all of the animal residents there. It was a fun day.

I love this park! Tons of space to just relax and enjoy being outdoors. The birds are my favorite, they have a variety of hawks, vultures, owls, osprey, and bald eagles. The turtle pond is awesome, and I love the trails. The bat house is cool but was empty when I went. Inside the nature center is really cool with lots of stuff to learn and see. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Love the wind phone ❤️

I cannot say enough good things about Moccasin Lake Nature Park! Great little playground, and so much to see. You can easily spend hours here walking around the nature center, rescued birds of prey area, or strolling down taking in all the sights on the trails. The bird blind next to the lake was recently redone, and provides a great spot to sit and catch some cool birds! We saw countless peacocks (males were showing off their plumage to females), turtles, fish, alligators, snakes, woodpeckers, warblers, and hawks during our trail hike. Can't forget the owls, hawks, osprey, vultures, and eagles in the rescued birds area either. The playground was perfect for the kiddos afterwards to have lunch and play. If nature parks are your thing, definitely check this park out! You won't be disappointed.
