PetCoral Veterinary Hospital and Resort

Do not go to this resort if you truly love your pet. They have a tendency to lie and not follow up with you when something has happened with your pet. It took me as the owner for when I checked on my pet the next day cause he has an e-collar for when he is in his area so he does not mess with his healing hot spot, that he got out of the e-collar because they obviously did not put it on correctly and chewed it up. You would think they would notify you of this asap so you be aware of the problem, but no. They made a choice to also keep my dog from going out during the day with the other dogs because of a small hot spot on the leg. But I am still forced to pay the same price for everything including extra charge for giving him his meds. So after we found this out about the e-collar, they where going to leave him without one and just look on him when they were there during the day and there is no one there monitoring at night hence the e-collar. So the Manager decides they will put and e-collar on that they have which he can’t take off. Which includes tying a string around his neck then attaching the e-collar to the string making it stay on permanently even while trying to eat and drink. This makes it harder on my pet and in the past have lost a pet to a turned stomach. So I demanded my pet back when I got back in town on a Sunday when they were closed and forced them to come out. When I got home I checked the medication and found out that they double dosed him on one of the days as I counted the medication and recorded it while counting and both days where now one day short. Called my vet the next day to make sure that the double dose would not be a concern and they stated that he should be ok. So I tried to work with the owner of the resort and explained all my concerns and only asked for half my money back and leave it at that. I get a response back stating that her employees did nothing wrong and she decided to call my vets location and spoke with the veterinarian to get more information on my pet pulse the medications without permission from the owner. Now mind you at this point the pet was no longer in their care. So this is a direct violation. After further investigation, we have found out that the same veterinarian hospital my pet goes to has the same Veterinarian on staff with them as well according to their website of staff. So who knows what kind of in authorized sharing of information is happening for other people’s pets that may go there Also , to anyone reading. Don’t believe the entirety of the owners response. She is leaving a lot out of the entire situation. Also, she slandered another Vetinarians name saying she spoke with with them and it was investigated and stated the conversation never took place.

We Love PetCoral vet and resort. Wilson and Chief have a wonderful time. With having the vet services on site, gives us as dog owners a piece of mind. Vaccinations are always up to date. We feel confident that all the pups coming here are properly cared for and they are both so tired at the end of their Daycare day.

The staff at PetCoral is always friendly and helpful! Our pups get good care and socialization with their buddies, be they dog or human. We treat PetCoral as a home away from home for them. The care as well as the facility is well maintained, too.

We had such a good experience today at pet coral, we didn’t have an appointment and it was about 830am and they saw us right away. they were warm and kind and made sure we understood everything. the vet tech that helped us (i’m so sorry i didn't catch her name with everything happening) was so amazing. she loved our dog and treated him so well. one of the staff members took a picture of my boy while he was getting his laser treatments done, and came and showed us while it was happening to make us feel better and let me keep the pictures. i thought that was very nice. can’t say enough good things, thanks for everything. oh and everything was very fairly priced.

So happy I took my cocker spaniel to Pet Coral. My experience is that Dr. Herrera is the best veterinarian in SW Florida. The staff are all top notch. Elmer the technician is awesome. Knowledgeable and professional. Very good with all pets. Overall Pet Coral staff is friendly, professional and supportive. Thank you Pet Coral for an excellent experience for me and my Sally.
