The Wayside Inn Dog Daycare

The team at wayside inn are incredibly responsible and compassionate. They are very communicative and give daily picks and updates. I’ve had a lot of dog sitters but they are by far the very best! I would give them 100 stars if I could!!!

I am a dog guy. I've fostered 10+ dogs in the last 5 years for significant time spans. I have my own Texas heeler and Belgian malenois. I've recently been bringing my shepherd foster to Wayside to tire him out and take some stress off me, my other dogs and my wife's plate. I say that to add weight to my review: Wayside is super, duper AWESOME. Incredible. Highly communicative. Highly adaptive and responsive. I know that, at all times, my dog is in a safe and supervised environment with professionals who "get it". He's still a puppy (albeit a BIG puppy) and yet, Adrian and staff know exactly how to return my dog to me: healthy, happy, safe and sleepy - which is all I could ask for and more. 10/10 local business in Tarrytown and Austin at large.

Aidan and Lacey take amazing care of my lab, Benny. They’re incredibly prompt and responsive - I never feel like I’m waiting for an update. Benny is always thrilled to go over there, and I get consistent communication when I’m out of town, complete with updates that give me total peace of mind. I never have to second guess how he’s doing. On top of that, they add such thoughtful touches that show how much they truly care. I couldn’t recommend them more!

This is truly a neighborhood treasure where the service experience feels like it was designed by the dogs themselves. A cozy home with soft places to sleep everywhere (no kennels). A huge shady yard for romping and reclining. Freedom to move between inside and outside based on mood, energy, or the presence of a squirrel. Dog-loving owners/humans who really get to know the individual needs of each "guest" and love on them all day (and night), while still managing the "pack" with order, discipline, and reliable routines. Our dog Pepino can't wait to get over there to see Aidan, Lacey, and the rest of his pals. Great for daycare or overnight boarding. 10/10 NOTE: There is another/old 1-star review that calls this a "Dangerous area". Nothing could be further from the truth - this must have been a bad joke. The Wayside in is on a lovely shaded street right in the heart of the beautiful Deep Eddy/South Tarrytown neighborhood. Couldn't be safer!

I live in the neighborhood and I’m SO happy we found wayside inn! My pup Alfie has the time of his life there! I love that it’s local, intimate, affordable and they have the best yard for the dogs to hang or run around in. As well as be inside. Aiden and Lacey are dog lovers - this is clear :) but they’re also very nice, communicative with pics and videos and I truly trust them with my boy! It’s been so fun to see Alfie thrive while in their hands! Highly recommend!
