(from Google)This is at Tyler State Park so expect to pay the $6 entry if you want to come per person without the state park pass. It is a challenging trail that I would recommend plenty of hydration and snacks on with bug repellent. It is really enjoyable though we only made it 30 minutes in before we turned back as we went during a hot time of the day. It is shaded and says it is a bike trail as well. I don't know that I could do such steep trails, but kudos to those that can. If you are someone who likes to be where you feel like you'd run into other people on your walk this is not for you... you are on a trail in the woods. It is beautiful and there is some nice benches and little streams on the way. I'd just recommend going when it's not hot and have a buddy. Path notes: -Hills (steep) -Roots in path -Powerline down in path when we went -Shaded by trees -Long trail -More then one option of turns while on the trail
What a State Park jewel in the piney woods of East Texas! Trail was an easy morning stroll with historical & local flora information (wish there was more because there were a lot of different pines / plants to see).
Love it
Beautiful water fall and not too difficult.
