(from Google)I would not recommend coming here. Sure its cheap, but clearly comes with a cost of its own. The examination room I was led to was dirty. The ceiling looked like it wanted to cave in on some spots and had what seemed to be mold. The sink in the room was rusted. The hair shaver on the counter had hairs still in them. Where is the sanitation? I hope their operations are held to a higher standard. As the doctor liked to brag to me "this isnt a discount place this is an animal hospital", after looking at the records being from petco. What happened to the motto on your website "warm and compassionate". I felt judged. Came in for a spay of my cat, had scheduled the appointment online. What they had failed to say during the examination, on their website, and during the booking of the appointment was that my cat had to stay overnight at their facility, with no supervision. Was only told after they had taken my cat back and given paperwork. I then had called to check in on my cat and see if I was able to pick her up earlier than the next morning. Was told yes and that I was able to do so anytime before closing. Had called back later to make sure I was still able to pick her up, and was told that I had to wait till the next morning because the doctors had left at 5pm. Not sure why there is miscommunication between the team there. Coming in the next morning I was told a different price than what was printed on my reciept, receptionist then proceeded to tell me that I didnt need to get my reciept from my car and that she can just look on their system. Not sure why that was not done to begin with. At the pick up I was not told or given any after care instructions, which I feel should be mandatory after any type of surgery no matter the severity. All I did was pay, wait for the cat, get the medicine and zero explaination. Upon inspecting the cat at home her cats nails were trimmed, as I had asked for, but seemed to be very poorly done and choppy. If moneys tight, sure go here. I wouldnt recommend here due to the staffs inadequate training and sanitation quality.
Dr. J is the BEST!!! He delivered my frenchie’s puppies . I don’t mind driving the distance for his services. His prices are very affordable ❤️
If you go here, please double check your itemized bill and advocate for your pet's care. Don't assume urgency will be recognized for you. I’ve brought my dogs here since I was a child, but over the last year I’ve had several negative experiences. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because Dr. Terrell usually provides excellent, realistic advice. They also have a kind and professional attitude. My concerns are with the overall care and office staff. 1. On three separate occasions, they returned my dogs to me from the back covered in feces. Each time, I had to ask to clean them up. 2. They no longer show itemized bills before charging, which leads to errors. The first time this happened, I was charged for for medicine I didn't receive. When I pointed it out, I got a credit on my account. At my next visit, rather than using the credit to pay for the bill, they charged me FOR the credit, so I ended up paying them the $50 they owed me. When I explained that it was a credit, she didn't understand. Mistakes happen, but it is basic math. Please go back to showing the itemized bill before patients pay. 3. My senior dog stayed there overnight with an infection on an IV drip. They said they'd give him antibiotics. When I called the next morning and asked about it, Dr Dratch said, "what antibiotics?" Our treatment plan wasn't followed. I started to cry, and he said "no wait we did, we just forgot to write it down." I am not sure what to believe with him backtracking and I fear that they didn't give him a shot at recovering with the medicine. 4. My young dachshund showed signs of back pain, so I called for an appointment ASAP. I was told the next available slot was two days later. When I called back begging for something sooner, they moved it up by one day. That night, he became paralyzed. I rushed him to an emergency vet, who sent us to the city for immediate spinal surgery. The next day, Dr. Dratch called to check in, which was kind of him - I really appreciated it, but by then it was too late. I now know that if my dachshund had received surgery before paralysis, his chances of recovery would have been much higher (80-90% versus 50%). He might never walk or pee on his own again. I’m devastated and wish the office had conveyed how urgent this condition can be, or at least referred us to an emergency vet or neurologist. Their lack of urgency made me feel like it wasn't an emergency situation. Now, I am so heart broken. I used to travel 20-30 minutes to come here, but it's no longer worth the inconvenient travel time. I appreciate the help I used to get from the vets and office staff, but there might be some mismanagement happening. I would really look into better training for some of the newer staff.
Drove hours to see Dr J after another vet tried to say they needed to put under anesthesia to do X-rays. I am super happy after meeting Dr J he is a pleasant professional that is knowledgeable on the anatomy and health of animals of all ages. He was def not after my money which made me feel like he had a passion for what he does which was refreshing. He made things clear and explained everything thoroughly to my understanding. I noticed he was also great with other pet parents there as well. I’ve been wanting to get their teeth cleaned for a while. I will be returning to Dr J for that procedure and share my experience as dental cleaning is vital for our fur babies and more awareness should be spread on this topic. Also want to mention the staff I had to encounter were also professional. Great experience. Thank you.
I just wanted to thank Dr.J for taking such great care of my girl. I had to bring her in for an emergency c-section after she delivered 5 pups and ran into issues . I called as I was on my way there hoping he would tell me yes bring her down (which he did) . The minute I got there, he got started right away and saved the remaining pups. You would never know this dog had a c-section. By the time I got her home she was absolutely fine never showing any signs from the surgery. Great office, couldn't ask for better !!!
