Great place to smoke weed, watch wildlife or fish!

Solid park to walk through a serene environment in the city. Turtles, fishing, community garden, several tree species, small pond to walk around. Trail through city called "canal trail" on the map. Great place for birding! Merlin hears cardinals, sparrows, and... Ooooh I just turned it off a second before a rare bird sound came through the air. Next time!

A small park alongside Old Cossey Pond with lots of plants and trees, some of which are labeled. It doesn't cover much land, but it has a nice little path through it with a couple of benches, and is a popular fishing spot in Fredericksburg (although there are some fishing restrictions). There is also a community garden right next to it.

It's a quiet place, lots of turtles and not bad for small fish. It's pretty and close to home.
