The location is excellent, although the souvenir shop nearby can be a bit confusing at first. We were seated quickly, and service was average nothing particularly attentive stood out from our waitress. The place is nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere, plus a solid selection of beers. The food was fairly average overall, though the truffle fries were excellent. The dessert was good, but nothing memorable. I would consider coming back mainly for a couple of beers with friends or colleagues, rather than for the food.

The food is really good, with many flavorful options. The beer, of course, is plentiful and delicious. The service, however, is not as good as it used to be, and the live music is being blemished because the electronic drumset has some faulty, non-functioning pickups. Those drumkits need to be maintained, or parts replaced to be effective.

Food was great!!!! Service… could improve, at least from my waiter. I had more attention from the runners than from my our waiter. I had to call him to request things 4 times, he didn’t bother to even come; only came 1 time just to check if we were okay. My waiter, Fernando, could be more attentive… He also got mad when I left a little lower tip than my usual… Food and ambience was incredible!!!!!

On a good note , the server Naomi was fantastic, quick service, great recommendations and very friendly. This place has a very cool vibe, bathrooms were so interesting, beers and drinks are good. The food we had was mediocre at best and very pricey. The fondue with pulled pork tasted good but it was just cheese sauce poured over sourdough bread. They shouldn’t pour the cheese sauce over the bread, put it to the side and dip properly like fondue. The chicken sliders had low quality ground chicken in them , they were a sticky mess that we couldn’t finish. They gave you 3 sliders with 2 pickles, for the price I should’ve had extra pickles. This place is fine for a cocktail or beer but the food is extremely overpriced for the quality you are getting. Eat elsewhere.

Ocean Lab Brewing Co. in San Patricio is a great spot to grab quality beers and relax, but that’s where the magic mostly ends. The place is big, and when I went it was packed, like they were giving out lifetime happy hour memberships, so atmosphere is not the problem. The beer is the star of the show; the food and cocktails, at those prices, are more like the opening act nobody asked for. It feels a bit more tourist-oriented, with the menu only in English and WiFi ready so you can post your pint before your first sip. My honest recommendation is to eat somewhere else first, then come here to unwind with a good beer and maybe snack on the brisket empanadillas, which do help redeem the visit. And don’t forget, it’s card only—cash will just sit in your wallet feeling completely useless.
