My best friend was very sick. This Doctor literally got in the floor to check Bentley. Outstanding!! Bentley may have been "just another dog" they sure didn't act as tho he was. They acted as tho he was as special to them as he was to me! Thanks!!

My review is for Dr Odom. I use the term Dr loosely. First, both times my dog was seen by her, we waited almost an hour with appointments. She saw my dog first time in March to check a skin place and look to see if there was still a stitch where a tooth was removed. First thing upon exam she said, "wow that's a big heart murmur." I said really, because less than a year ago everything checked ok after tests that were sent to UT. Did she go look at my dogs records? No, she proceeded to go on a rant about cleaning her teeth.. which had been done 9 months before and my dog is almost 14 years old now. Again, she never looked at her past visit. Not till I asked her to view a video I had taken showing my dogs breathing did she go into let's check her heart mode. She was diagnosed with CHF. Fluid on her lungs and heart was enlarged from the previous visit 8 months prior. Next visit a week later, another almost hour wait. My dog had an adverse reaction to one of the meds and we were there to discuss. After almost an hour wait Odum entered with papers she had printed off about the meds( guess she doesn't know about Google and AI) I had read everything about the meds and CHF. I then asked her the question of what stage of CHF my dog was in.. her answer " She didn't know there was stages". "She didn't know much about CHF but she had just went to a conference on CHF". Odum needs to go back to vet school and leave CHF dogs to one of the other vets with more experience. She needs to learn to schedule her appts so dogs aren't stressed waiting almost an hour. No way would I recommend Odum to treat my pet!!!

Everyone was so very nice. Dr Arnold was outstanding. I would like to thank her for time and expertise. She did an ultrasound and a urine culture. My sweet little dog is not well and she is working to help find out why. Thank you so much.

Colonial Heights Veterinary Hospital is the most kindest and compassionate veterinary service I have experienced. They do all that they can for the animals and pet owners. They explain everything in detail about the health of your pet. They give wonderful advice on the best options to talk when it comes to your pets health. They help in anyway they can to make sure your pet ( aka best friend) gets the care they need. I would give them 💯 stars.

I love Dr Grey and his interaction with our greyhounds. He is honest and upfront with treatment plans, medications and comforting when the most difficult decision have to be made. He treats my pups like they are his own furbabies. The staff is very kind and caring. They greyhounds love the attention they get even when they are nervous or scared
