Gabriel Archer Tavern at The Williamsburg Winery

This was my husband and my third time eating at Gabriel Archer Tavern. We have been extremely impressed with the quaint romantic ambiance of the restaurant, exceptional service and delicious food. The most recent visit was on Valentine’s Day. We actually ate there twice, the first being for lunch. The restaurant was completely booked so we ordered the charcuterie board to go. The board was exquisite with an array of salami, prosciutto, 4 different types of cheese, grapes and assorted olives neatly packaged. It went well with the wine tasting. We returned to the restaurant for dinner having already made our choices prior in the day to much surprise they were serving a special Valentines menu. In reviewing the menu, it was obvious I wouldn’t be able to eat the appetizer due to a wheat allergy. Jenna, our waitress who was exceptional said it is a fixed menu but let me go ask the chef if they could possibly substitute an alternative to accommodate me. She quickly returned sharing they could offer me a salad. My husband got Smoked Salmon, Gnocchi, Sea Bass and Chocolate cake along with the wine pairing. I had the Smoked Salmon, the special house salad, Chicken Roulade and Chai Cheesecake. Jenna gave us plenty time to finish each course expeditiously bringing us the next. My husband and I were impressed with the food and service making for a memorable evening. We would highly recommend the Gabriel Archer Tavern at the Williamsburg Winery! We are already looking forward to our return in three weeks!

Alexandra was so amazing! Above and beyond, excellent customer service, very personal!! Highly recommend the crab cakes and hanger steak…so so good. The chef was amazing. Thank you.

Dining at Gabriel Archer Tavern was a fantastic experience, thanks in large part to our amazing server, Jenna. She was festive, kind, and incredibly helpful—bringing great energy to the table while still being attentive and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a bottle of the Merlot wine along with the hanger steak, rockfish, and for dessert, the cannolis and peppermint dessert, which was truly decadent and full of flavor. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. Jenna’s recommendations and friendly service elevated the entire meal and made the evening feel special. Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service—Gabriel Archer Tavern delivered on all fronts.

Jenna was an amazing guide to the delicious menu at Gabriel Archer Tavern! She took such good care of us and the food was AMAZING! The holiday drink special she recommended complimented the flatbread and quiche perfectly. And don’t skimp on the dessert - we shared the pumpkin cheesecake and it was divine. Compliments to the entire team - festive atmosphere and food made my birthday extra special!

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — honestly, the best pesto I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served.
