I am so grateful for the people who were working here on 1/7/26! My cat woke up sick and I took her straight here. The staff was clear on what to expect, and when they took her to the back they kept me updated on how she was doing. They even took time to show me how to administer her medicine. The price was worth making sure my sweet girl was okay. I’m so glad they were able to help her. ❤️

My son and I came here Jan 4 around 7am to euthanize our cat due to an ongoing severe urinary problem. I already knew about uterine obstruction from having to put 2 of my cats down in the past, so I figured that is what was going on with Floofy. He had 2 vet visits at VCA since November. They tried some things and it seemed to make a difference, but then he went right back to not peeing, yowling and growling, licking him self, and recently peeing blood. I made the decision to go ahead and put him to sleep because I was losing hope. We brought him in to EPCofT, with me crying and my son holding in his emotions. I started having a change of heart and expressed to the staff that I was now 50/50 on the decision of putting him down. A suggestion of an exam was made and I agreed. They took Floofy back and gave him something to calm him. They were able to help him pee and a blood clot came out, which could have possibly been the cause of obstruction. Also, an ultrasound was done on his bladder and it appeared inflamed and thickened. A care plan was made and after agreeing to some and declining others, he was given a blood test to check for toxins (clear), received fluids, had a topical pain reliever applied, and an injection of an inflammatory. After 6 hours, we were able to take him home. The antibiotics seem to be making a big difference! He's back to his happy self and loving on us! His appetite is better than before. His first 24 hours were a struggle with trying to pee or peeing a little anywhere and everywhere, but he is now peeing normal amounts in the litter boxes. Thanks so much to the staff that helped us that morning!! Y'all are very compassionate and true angels!!! I have to give an extra shout out to Courtney!!! She was absolutely amazing!!

We had a great experience with this pet ER/hospital. Took our Havanese, Ronnie, there two days ago. He spent a day and a half in their care. We were worried sick for him. Everyone, from techs to doctors was so kind. Communication was top notch. I liked the transparency. They provide you with a detailed quote and explanation why they think your dog needs the tests or treatments. There are no surprises. Would entrust them with the care of all of our animals.

This pet hospital literally saved my puppy’s life. I took my puppy to my local family vet clinic on 11/3 because he had stopped eating and drinking and was throwing up liquid. He was very lethargic. This all happened so fast & I knew something was wrong because he is such a hearty eater and very energetic. My vet at Stoneside, Dr Wolfe, did a parvo test and it came back positive. They referred me to this Pet emergency hospital for 24 hour around the clock care to treat him and hopefully save my puppy’s life. The staff at Emergency Pet Care of Texas took him in, examined him and gave me several options for his care. I, of course wanted the best for him by any means necessary. He was a new puppy to my family. I had only had him a couple of weeks but that was enough time for me and my family to bond and fall in love with Max. He was now my family member. I applied for care credit to help pay for this unexpected financial expense because I did not yet have pet insurance. I left him in their care and the amazing doctors, Dr Dresner and Dr Garcia from day shift and night shift were so wonderful by calling me with updates on how he was doing and responding to the treatments. They called me on 11/6 and told me he was up wanting to play, eating well and after a little more observation, they were confident that he was out of the woods with the worst part of parvo and that I could come pick him up. He had responded well to treatment. My bill was less than half of the initial quote. They sent me home with meds and nutritional supplements for him to take for the next week or so and clear instructions on his dietary needs for recovery. He is doing fine. All thanks to the quick action of this hospital. I would also like to thank the amazing front receptionist, I think her name is Angela, if I am mistaken, please forgive me. She gave me a lot of good advice about caring for my labradoodle puppy and what to expect. She really came in the clutch with a listening ear and good friendly advice when it was needed the most. A great caring sympathetic and professional reception is the first thing frantic pet parents encounter and we really appreciate and need that comfort and reassurance in our time of panic regarding the health of our pet. I would highly recommend this hospital to any and everyone with a pet emergency. They are honest and caring people. Big thanks from my whole family and from 13 week old Max

We took 2 of our dogs, (Lollipop our basset & Miss Trulie Scrumptious, our dachshund) in on a Sunday morning, with bites from a copperhead snake. The office staff/techs were so nice and caring. They took them back immediately and assessed them. We were shown, the cost estimates & options for treatments. When our pets were released, we were refunded the difference of the unused estimate paid up front, immediately. We will definitely use them again if the need arises.
