Sit Means Sit Dog Training Asheville

We got a new pup over a year ago, and he was a handful! After observing Ernie in a parking lot working with another dog, my boyfriend contacted him. We did weekly sessions for several months and followed his advice on what to do to reinforce the training. All of his advice and follow ups have made a big difference! Our Salem LOVES “Uncle Ernie” and has turned into a fantastic dog. I had serious concerns when we brought Salem home because I’d never experienced a pup with his energy level. Nor had I ever needed to engage the services of a trainer. I can tell you now that it’s been money well spent! I’m so happy we met Ernie. We’ve benefited a great deal from his care and guidance on Salem, and I have no doubt that we have a happier pup, too. If you have a high energy pup or dog in need of training, look no farther. Ernie the owner and trainer of Sit Means Sit is wonderful. He is patient and kind not only to the dog he is working with but to the owners. Training us is harder than our pet!! Our German Short Hair Pointer puppy was a handful but after the 4-full day private lessons (1 per week) and us doing our “homework” she is much easier to control at home. Now we are working on the “Lifetime” group lessons Ernie offers. Learning to socialize with other dogs and to control her when distractions are around is an ongoing work in progress. We are sure that with Ernie’s continued expert dog training and help with Belle’s humans, She will be a well behaved family member🐾💗 Randy & Becky

Ernie of “ Sit Means Sit” did a wonderful job with our Year old Miniature Aussie, Molly. She has improved so much with his patient and repetitive teaching style. She has a little ways to go but that is only because she is young dog. This man is indeed a dog whisperer. Phil and Diane

We are so impressed with Sit means Sit and had such a fantastic experience with them. Ernie is really the best! So personable and knowledgeable and worked hard with our dog Rhu. He was communicative with us every week and would spend time teaching us how to work with the new commands Rhu was learning after every session. He even took some very sweet photos to send to us on some of their days out and about together! I cannot recommend them enough. We will definitely be going to their group classes in the future now that training is complete!

Ernie at Sit Means Sit has done a wonderful job training our pup, Ranger, and helping to guide us along the way. Ranger is my third german shepherd and we decided we needed a little extra help with training now that we have a 1 year old baby at home. I am extremely impressed with what Ernie has done to help our dog become more attentive, more confident, and learn the foundations of becoming a calm, confident dog at home and in public. We learned a lot of valuable knowledge from Ernie during the time we worked together. Since day one, he brought an awesome energy into the space and Ranger is thrilled everytime he sees Ernie. Ernie sent us pictures and videos of our dog's progress on training days, was excellent at answering any questions we had, and helped us problem-solve as we went along. Ernie was also great at communication, he was timely in responding to questions and made everything clear and easy for us. He was flexible with our schedule in working out times for training days which we greatly appreciated. We went to our first group class this past weekend and are very excited to continue working with Ernie and practicing training with our pup. I wholeheartedly recommend hiring Ernie to fellow dog owners!
