It is a nice place but there is a lot of homeless. Last time I was there there was quite a few people sleeping in the women's restroom with the door locked from the inside.

Park itself was very nice, but after a dip in the water, we wanted to use the bathroom, and only one men's bathroom was opened. unfortunately, most places we go, there are no women's restrooms available. I wish after a day in the water I hoped female hygiene could have been addressed

Saw a review about this park having clean toilets. That is absolutely not correct. There was a homeless person camped outside the restrooms. The men’s bathroom had a stall door that would not close. The bathroom stall was totally destroyed with sprayed feces, broken, sinks with water spraying and not staying on. Soap dispenser was broken. Totally disgusting. The park itself has a lot of potential. Other than a well paved parking lot. The rest of the park is sad and depressing. There’s so much land and opportunity, but clearly either too little funds or too little planning.

This launch is best for cartop only. Very steep dropoff from end of ramp to water and worse in water Does have restrooms and nice picnic area

There are a few tables and benches and you can see river views, but otherwise there’s not a lot going on here. You are better off strolling or relaxing at Morgan Park. Looks like they are doing a lot of construction across the street so maybe it will be bigger in the future. Bless our veterans.
