Nice outdoors. The lake is not very big though. No kids playground. Small picnic area.

This is a very nice park when it’s keep clean. Only giving it 3 stars because sadly not ever pet owner picks up after there dog properly . Even though there is 6 trash can provided & one dog pick up bag in parking lot. Which is totally lazy . My biggest complaint with this park is all dog owner who don’t put their dog on leash!!! It’s been getting out of hand lately. This is owned by city with my understanding. It’s not a dog park. You see all photos of people letting there dogs off the leash !!! I am not against dogs or anything. just dogs belong on leash cause no matter how well trained a dog is. They all have their own unpredictable natures. I don’t feel safe bringing my little dog there anymore. Cause I don’t want to chance a big dog running up to my dog & possibly trying to attack her. But I am happy that city has given me permission to call them when see people dogs not on leash!! Besides that fact I do enjoy walking around here & walking around the pond. 11-11-2024 I spotted another freaked owner with dog off leash 11-12-2024 I spotted two freaked owners with dog off leash! I did call pound on the 2nd person left a message hoping they come while the owner is just chilling. 11-13-2024 a owner with two dead gum dogs off the leash. I did call the pound but unfortunately they didn’t show up in time. Hopefully next time they can show up faster. A 2nd owner with a dog off leash & she lives at Great Dane apartments. She should know better . I had this apartment that live at too send email out & etc!! Come city of garland .she does this seem thing frequently around 5:30pm -6pm. 11-16-2024 spotted another dead gum owner with dog off leash. 11-26-2024 I spotted three owners with there dog off the leash . One with the little gray dog . Another with a pit bull . I ALMOST WITNESS A DOG FIGHT BETWEEN THE TWO DOGS OFF THE LEASH! The pitbull was running after the gray dog the owner barely stop it in time. EXACTLY WHY EACH DOG NEEDS TO BE ON THE LEASH! Also why I don’t feel safe bringing my dog here anymore! Third owner let her dog off the leash a brown poodle!!!! .

Nice pond area and clean walking trails. However the path to get the pond area you will need to go under the street bridge which is very nosy, as expected, and dark. Overall, the area is safe but I would be more comfortable at other open spaces and trails.

This is such a beautiful area tucked away in plain sight. Great concrete path for walking, biking, etc. You can also feed turtles from the little pond pier, so it is a great idea to stop at the Kroger down the way to pick up some tomatoes, apples, or lettuce to feed them.

I really enjoy this place when I go. It's a nice place to walk, jog, or run. Even nice for a first date to walk and meet.
