McAuliffe Park

Went for a walk and the place was nice. A lot of room to practice or play sports. The have a walk path and it is lighted so you can see.

the pictures were taken yesterday, when the skies decided to show off haha. I don't how to explain or express this but do you ever need to go somewhere just get a fresh air? to admire life for what it is? this park has become one of those places for me. I mean yes, this park is basically designed for flood prevention (I learned that from my brother who works for the city hahaha), HOWEVER, on days like yesterday — none of that mattered because I got to appreciate life for what it is. You have the opportunity to appreciate the trees everywhere, (which by the way, that's my favorite tree on the picture above haha, i just like it a lot ), families, and individuals enjoying themselves in the playgrounds, fields, having picnics, and waking, but most importantly, the chance of catching the sky showing off. McAuliffe park is a great place to destress and enjoy an ordinary day.

Great park for families, kids, coaches and players. Clean and friendly park, great playground for kids, amazing walking, jogging, biking loop. Many fields to choose from to watch your kids play some sports. There are bathrooms available and also a shaded area. Amazing place, come and visit.

I'm always impressed with the way McAllen has focused on making some excellent parks and green spaces. This park is no different. Every evening you'll see people exercising, running, families hanging out, kids teams practicing, and more. This is an excellent place to practice or just to get out and walk. The Lakes are nice and you can usually spot some birds and an abundance of turtles. Spend an evening and check it out for yourself!

I LOVE this park--the trails, the pier, the birds, and even the pond! It is so pretty, and the City of McAllen takes great care of it!!!! After a heavy rain, the reflections are incredible. It is beautiful and peaceful here.
