(from Google)Sahuaro Ranch Park was a fantastic spot for family portraits. We came out to take photos and it ended up being the perfect backdrop—lots of great scenery and space to capture special moments without feeling rushed or crowded. If you’re looking for a classic park setting for pictures (or just an easy outing), this place really delivers. The only reason it’s 4 stars instead of 5 is cleanliness. It’s clearly a real asset for the city, and with a bit more consistent upkeep it could easily be a true five-star park. That said, we still had a great experience and would absolutely come back.
Nice historical place with a huge front yard to sit on and enjoy a lunch! Even had a play area for kids. Walk around read the historical markers and learn about your local history as I do fun place to go.
Fascinating! Lovely and quiet to walk around the whole ranch. The flock of peacocks is no longer resident at the Park. Apparently, the flock was expected to be 500 peacocks 'soon' and there is/will be an overwhelming maintenance issue. So disappointing: it is unknown why there was not a few kept to keep the tradition and start a new small flock! The original home and outbuildings are great to see from outside. And all was free. Unfortunately, there are no guides or helpers but it is free to walk the grounds. Lots of free parking was available! And bonus: what was originally a very large stable building had a free judged art exhibit today, Wednesday, January 28th, 2026. It runs to the 31st but then it will be gone! Excellent art gathered from Arizona artists only; and one of the artists was there today: she was a treasure trove of information!
It’s such a beautiful park! So clean! The roses are so beautiful, and they smell amazing!
Great place to visit in the heart off Glendale! Pack a picnic, take some pictures and stop in the library. Get out if the house and see something different for free! Especially as the weather cools down.
