Everything about Nellie’s was GREAT!! We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We could tell the manager was very involved and helpful. The vibe of the restaurant was great. Our server, Mike, was also amazing and very knowledgeable. He recommended the red velvet waffles when I ordered the chicken and waffles and they were AMAZING!! All four of us couldn’t stop talking about how tasty our meals were (Catfish & Grits, Red Velvet Waffles and Chicken, Philly Cheesesteak, French Toast and Chicken). If I am ever in the area again I would 100% return to Nellie’s!!!

We have been to Nellie’s over 10 times and have never had a bad experience until tonight, but this visit was a comedy of errors from start to finish. We were a party of two plus a toddler. We waited 45 minutes while watching 6–7 larger parties who arrived after us get seated first. We assumed they were waiting for a small table to open up, but they eventually sat our party of three at a massive table for 8–10 people in the corner. The service was unprofessional from the moment we sat down; our waitress complained to the hostess about the mess the previous party left right in front of us, telling the hostess to make us wait even longer until it was cleaned. The Food & Service Failures: • We ordered the toddler’s food and appetizers first. The biscuits took 15 minutes, and the pimento cheese appetizer never arrived at all. • The kids' grilled cheese was served completely burnt. It was clear the kitchen knew it, too—they had actually scraped the black char off one side and plated it face-down so we wouldn’t see it (see photos). Our toddler didn’t eat a single bite. • The fried chicken was incredibly dry. When we asked for two cups of ranch to help, the waitress misheard us and returned 15 minutes later with two glasses of red wine instead. • Zero Follow-up: The waitress never once asked how our food was. She didn’t even notice the missing appetizer until after our entrees had already been delivered. Everything about this experience - from the seating to the kitchen’s attempt to hide burnt food was awful. It’s incredibly disappointing to see a place we usually love fail this hard on every level

Heard a lot of things abt this place mainly due to the Jonas Brothers owning it, so definitely peaked my interest to check out. Had a 2:30 lunch reservation on a Saturday for 3, we arrived a bit earlier and the young ladies at the hostess stand told us we needed to wait closer to our reservation time even though there were plenty of empty seats. So we sat down to the side waiting for them to let us know they were ready for us. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which were delish. Then for entrees I ordered the fried chicken, one friend ordered the burger and the other ordered shrimp and grits. We got and two bites in when the manager on duty quietly came over and told us to remain calm and gather our belongings and evacuate the building to the exit in the back due to some sort of emergency. The few bites I did have, I can say I enjoyed the chicken, greens and cornbread but the mac left a lot to be desired. It was sort of dry and didn’t have much flavor to me. We never got to go back inside due to the emergency but the manager came outside and took everyone’s personal contact info to invite us back for a free meal. I look forward to receiving that communication from them so I can come back and fully enjoy my meal uninterrupted.

Omg where do I start! This place is so amazing, the food was sooo delicious. We had a party of 5 and we all tried and tasted the different appetizers and entrées and omg, we could have stopped right there. The food is prepared with so much love and flavor. We had the southern rolls, collard and artichoke dip, fried squash, and the butter biscuits for appetizers. We also had the FAMOUS CHEF MARIO SHRIMP and GRITS, OMG sooo delicious, meatloaf, chicken tenders, and banana pudding. Everything was very tasty. Our server James was so amazing and very attentive. The atmosphere was a vibe all alone, and the bathrooms were cozy enough to stay for awhile. This place is a hidden gem, and it was a little busy for a Tuesday night, but that did not stop the service from being a 10/10. I definitely can't wait to go back. We were also able to meet Chef Mario while he was here from the Las Vegas store! A time was definitely had, Thanks Nellies we will be back!

Delicious southern comfort food and excellent service! We had the chicken dumplings, Nashville hot chicken sandwich, fried chicken and chicken and waffles and everyone was happy with their plate. Our daughter got some crayons and a highchair and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We got a refill of our drinks without even asking. Love the atmosphere and the service was great. We had no reservation at 4pm and got a table right away. Free parking available.
