Red Mountain District Park

Love the beautiful lake and sidewalk. My dog and I go almost every day. Wildlife is plentiful. Clean restrooms plenty of parking.

Such a cute place to get a leisure walk in. You can see families enjoying themselves. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy and just overall it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling.

Certainly one of the better parks in Mesa. Sports fields to the north, east and south, nice walking path around the park and artificial pond, two play areas with playground equipment, ramadas scattered about, benches along the walking path, fishing with license, basketball courts, volleyball and other netted sports, open grass areas and mature trees that can provide shaded green areas for picnicking, landscaping around the pond is (mostly) desert trees and shrubs with a natural look and feeling, warning signs for javelina and coyotes (but I have never observed any myself, still, show care especially with young children or dogs), ducks and other migratory water fowl are a pleasure to watch, especially flying in at sunset at the "dock" area by the East bathrooms. That area is particularly pretty at sunset. Nice views of the Superstitions and other picturesque mountains/hills in various spots, can take on a cool hue based on the light from the sunset hitting the face of those mountains.. Only drawbacks for me are the dated and kinda dirty bathrooms, people who drive scooters and motorized stuff along the path (which I think is posted as illegal, maybe only in particular areas though, I'm not sure), people driving fast through the parking area and who leave trash near their parked cars, and people who don't pick up after their pets along the path. There are plenty of trash cans, pet waste stations, and even accessible dumpsters, so those people are just being lazy or oblivious.

Watched fast pitch baseball scrimmage game my son played in. The field was to dry. Bleachers wobly. Parking was fine.

I'm here almost every weekend. Great fishing place also a nice to take the kids when it's not so hot outside
