Great place for the party, bbq, walking around the lake. Recommend for the weekend.

Always nice and feel good to go there

Pretty park with plenty of free parking! All ages! I took my father who walks with a cane and on a Sunday it was nice to see lots of families enjoying the lake, fishing, celebrating birthdays and just relaxing and chilling. I saw couples hand in hand, so sweet, along with rollerbladers, runners, people just out for a stroll like we were. There’s a paved path easily maneuverable for seniors to get around the entire lake and lots of benches and picnic tables.

The lake is beautiful, the trees have really flourished and it's very beautiful right now. I went around noon on a Friday & it was pretty nice. Not too busy, but plenty of people fishing, walking, biking, paddle boating & chillin. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3+ mile walk. I can't wait to go back to ride the bikes! The bikes & boats are very reasonably priced, too. Check it all out, you'll enjoy urself.

This recreation area is a real gift. We have Balboa park, golf courses, the bird sanctuary and the jewel- Lake Balboa. It is a man made lake and for me, it is very convenient. We walk there atheist 4 days a week.
