(from Google)I visited the N Dale Mabry location last Thursday because my dog was showing signs of an ear infection. The receptionist and the assistant who saw my dog before the veterinarian were both very polite and kind, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Andy Leung was extremely disappointing. From the moment he entered the room, he was rude, cold, and dismissive. He told me that according to the records, we had not brought our dog in for two years, which immediately made me feel judged and irresponsible as a pet owner. I was sure it was this location since it is the only place we have taken her in the last few years. Later, the receptionist informed me that for some reason my pet’s record from her last visit was not showing because a digit or letter may have been entered incorrectly in the system. Dr. Leung then asked if I was giving my dog flea prevention, and when I explained that I was using the treatment previously recommended by this same clinic, he responded very aggressively, saying they had never given me anything because it was not in the record. His tone throughout the entire interaction was harsh and disrespectful. He then told me he could not help my dog because her vaccines were not up to date, again in a very rude and dismissive manner. Since he sounded so certain and upset, I started doubting myself. I showed him the medical record from this same location, but because it appeared under “Vetco” instead of “Petco,” he pointed rudely at the address and said, “That’s not even here.” After that, he walked out of the room without allowing me to explain or ask questions. I have never had such an unpleasant interaction at a veterinary clinic. I arrived worried about my dog and left feeling even more stressed, disappointed, and unwelcome. This was the third time I brought my pet here, and sadly, after this experience, I will not be returning. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because no pet owner should be treated this way while seeking help for their animal. If someone does not have compassion, patience, or genuine care for animals, especially in a profession dedicated to helping pets and their owners, then this may not be the right field for them. Pet owners come in worried and vulnerable, trusting veterinary professionals to care for members of our family, and we deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. After reading other reviews, I can also see that I am not the only person who has had a negative experience with this veterinarian, and it is honestly surprising to me that he is still working there despite so many similar complaints.
I took my dog for grooming here for the first time because it was close to my house. When I arrived, they told me there was a three-hour wait. I thought that was excessive just for a bath and a trim, but I hoped the result would be worth it. I explained to them that I didn't want his face cut too short. When I returned—nearly three hours later, after they notified me—my dog had a completely botched haircut; it was super short—almost bare—something I could have easily done myself at home. But the saddest part was that my dog, who is usually active and happy, was incredibly sad and lethargic; he just lay there and wouldn't eat. I checked him over and didn't see any physical injuries, but I believe he wasn't treated well, as he seemed deeply depressed. It took him nearly a month to go back to being his old self. I will never take him to this place again. It was a traumatic experience for my dog. As a result of this experience, I bought my own grooming equipment so I can do it myself; I never want to risk a bad haircut or have my dog suffer from depression again. I do not recommend this place.
I needed food for my reptiles and wanted to purchase a tarantula. I had the nicest lady ( can’t remember her name) assist me. She was very pleasant and also very knowledgeable about tarantulas. I purchased a red leg tarantula and absolutely love it! Thanks so much for your help!
Brian was super helpful and also made sure our dogs got treats while they were there and sent some complimentary treats home with them. He helped us find toys for our teething puppy and gave us tips about her teething. He gave us a coupon book for the things we will need for her too. We enjoy shopping here because of the friendly service and great selection of products.
So in a nutshell,🌰 petco: great 👍 the customer service: Great 👍 the clearance (when you find it, hidden throughout the store) is wonderful. And the only reason why I put the CUTEST OF CUTE GUINEA PIGS🐹 IN THE WORLD and then a dirty bathroom is because the bathroom is the reason for 4 ⭐. So as you can see, if you can....it was very dirty🧴. The floor wasn't going to ever to look👀 clean🧹🧽🧼 in the rest of its lifetime. But other than the probably haunted👻, bathroom🚽🧻, the pet store was orderly and nice. OOOOHHH 😮😮there was some crickets🦗🦗 on the floor roaming around but that's normal ( in my 🌎 )
