The Shampooch Pawlor

We have been looking for a good groomer for several years now and I think we finally found her. We took our 5 yo Labrador to Susie for a shampoo and a deshedding and the results were amazing. Our dog is a shedding machine and Susie did a fantastic job. Nails cut, ears cleaned and deshedding absolutely worked. Dogs are not stuck in cages after grooming which takes away a lot of the stress a dog goes through and we will definitely be back.

I cannot recommend Susie enough- I wish I could give her 10/5 stars! This was my dog’s very first grooming experience, and he is normally extremely nervous and skittish around new people and experiences. From the moment we arrived, Susie was so patient, gentle, and understanding, making him feel completely safe and comfortable. Not only did she handle him with such care, but she also made the experience enjoyable—he absolutely loved her! And when we saw him afterward, he looked absolutely amazing—so clean, well-groomed, and happy. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about every dog she works with. Thank you so much for turning what could have been a stressful experience into a positive, happy one. We are so grateful and will definitely be coming back!

I wish I could give 6 stars. Susie is the best groomer!! She has such a special way with dogs, and is overall a wonderful person. Our Bluey no longer dreads the groomer, and she grooms him better than anyone else--he looks, feels, and smells so fresh long after too! I was told elsewhere that my dog isn't calm enough during grooming, but my good boy just needed Susie's special 1 on 1 attention.

Susie was so great with our Maltese. She’s 10 years old, has no teeth, and is very shy about her face being touched. In the past she was always really stressed about going to the groomer, and being in a crate made this much worse. She gets staining all over from her tongue hanging out, and Susie made her look fantastic. Chloe was so comfortable and calm with her, I even got some updates on how good she was doing since it was her first time. And that’s not even mentioning the fact that in 10 years, this is probably the best haircut she’s ever had. Not choppy, no scissor marks, she was nice and fluffy, and the sanitary clip was perfect. As a Veterinarian, THIS is what we mean when we say you need to take your dog to the groomer every 6-8 weeks. Someone who takes her age, condition, lifestyle and needs into account when making decisions during her groom. Susie is a true professional groomer, and a person who deeply cares about the dogs she works with. As a life-long resident of Seaford (meaning we’ve tried all the groomers here), as a dog owner, and as a veterinarian, I recommend the Shampooch Pawlor to absolutely everyone. (And as someone living with serious student loan debt) This was worth every penny and then some.

She took the time to sit with them and get to know them before their grooming session. She was especially attentive to my senior dog, Mia. Susie took the time to understand my dogs’ specific needs and preferences, and worked tirelessly to ensure they looked and felt their absolute best. What really sets Susie apart from other groomers is her genuine love and passion for animals. You can tell that she truly cares about the dogs in her care, and that she’s dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and stress-free experience for all her furry clients. She proved this by the way she handles my senior dog who is NOT easy to groom. The fact that Susie has been able to groom my old pup speaks volumes. Susie really prides herself in developing and maintaining relationships with the pups in her care. I couldn't be happier with the service we received, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Susie to anyone looking for a top-notch dog groomer.
