I love this part of the beach! Sunset Beach is usually pretty easy to get on and off. And it's part of the most beautiful coast that there is. Great for families!

One of the only beaches you can drive on. Speed limits 25mph. And they do have parks guys that patrol the bea c h and you will be sited for doing donuts, driving reckless, ect. So also, if you don't know how to 4 wheel without 4x4 just park in the parking lot. If you by chance got stuck go to Facebook sons of beaches. And maybe one of the nice fella will help you get unstuck. It's nice to tip them cuz they saved your car, and fines foe leaking oil, gas, extra in the ocean. They will never ask you for money. Also, dogs run off leash here. Children are also off leashes and running wild. Watch out and only go 25mph. No life guard and there tons of places you shouldn't swim here. Some times dead things are left on shore. Poke em with a stick.

Nice beach that you can drive to the actual beach. The biggest issues are, people driving recklessly as well as too fast for the area, as there are lots of small children and pets. As well the super soft sand on the entrance/exit trail is a beast, even in my AWD, suv. Great place to take your dog to play and run.

It’s drive in beach, but one of the good experiences, almost 2 hrs drive from Portland. Long beach, ample place for beach volleyball. But be careful while driving your car on beach, it may get stuck up. It’s windy beach, wear goggles to avoid sand into eyes. Take care of small children.
